The Belsfield Hotel, from outside, building looks nice but inside was not up to the standard it should be. We went straight to walking after checked in. On return, we went to shower, as we started open tap, it began to flood. I reported to hotel but they couldn’t fix it immediately. In half shower, we were moved in to other room. In the room, bed sheets and duvet covers were not replaced, there were still poo in the toilet on arrival. There were still food and coffee stains on the table and chairs. Entertainment tv quality was very poor. Service was not good at all, food were ok but highly priced We did not enjoy our stay in such a pricy and premium hotel which we arrived with a high expectation. I wouldn’t recommend to my family and friends in terms of accommodation and services provided to us. Therefore, I rate only one star.

Property was fantastic we had a great time however the room was noisy due to a wedding taking place which continued late into the night. We asked for a baby cot but unfortunately it was broken.

The property is ideally placed on the edge of Lake Windermere. So there are no issues to explore. Bowness pier is only minutes away. Having stayed here before a few years ago, we booked a family room which accomodates 4 people. The cleanliness of the room was not that of our previous visit and felt like the previous guests had just checked out. Even though we checked in after 4pm. Room 57 had no blinds with a room opposite, the only way to have any privacy was for us to keep the curtains closed for the 2 nights we stayed as no other option was given to us.. Having called beforehand to ask if slippers and toiletries would be provided for all 3 of us we were reassured they would be. There were no slippers in the hotel until the final night and even then there was only two pairs. The toiletries were for one person and after calling reception numerous times requesting more we gave up and went out to purchase some for our stay. We usually ways pack slippers and toiletries for holidays and have learnt our lesson. Breakfast to the room was only for two people even though we made it clear we were ordering for 3. Everything seemd to be tailored for 2 people per room.

Room was downstairs in annexe. Very dark and damp as no heating. Garden view but trees outside blocked all light and path outside where kids and dogs running round so had to keep curtains shut. Room really tired. Marks everywhere on walls. Mould round bath. Very old fashioned. Breakfast arrived stone cold despite cooked to order. Tea and coffee also cold. Changed selection on 2nd morning but still stone cold. Very disappointed considering price will not be returning.

This was the first time that my partner and I stayed in Belsfield, and we had a good experience of staying here. The hotel is located in a wonderful site in Windermere, pretty close to the lake. I love the view of the meadows and there are a lot of rabbits hopping on the grass. The staff were hospitable and helpful, for example, David and Katy (if the name is right) at the reception :) The experience of breakfast is lovely, but seemed short-staffed sometimes during breakfast hours. Overall, my partner and I were satisfied with our experience staying at Belsfield, and will definitely recommend to friends and families, and will come next time! :)

The family room was excellent. Although we didn't have a view, the split into two rooms meant that my eleven year old had more privacy on the sofa bed. Beautiful location and decor. Breakfast was nicer on the second day, with more care and attention to detail. Staff were lovely and very helpful.A perfect stay! 😊

Great location and nice hotel overall. But we had booked a family room with a sofa bed which turned out to be effectively broken. We found out only when our son was ready to go to bed. My calls to reception went unanswered, so had to physically go there to get someone to sort it out. The person who came could not repair it, so got a spare single bed in its place. He also said that he would suggest to management to give us a discount for the trouble. The 'broken' sofabed remained there for the next 2 days and the discount never materialised! Also the TV was not horizontal but hanging precariously at an angle. Complained about this as well but nothing done on that front either. Very disappointing!

Beautiful hotel and the family room was spacious and excellent. The breakfast was great quality, but they seemed to be short of staff. We waited for 30 minutes one morning for our cooked order to be taken. The location and views are awesome. Overall our stay was fantastic.

It was a little babymoon break before our little miracle arrives in the new year. It was very relaxing, staff were excellent, the room was lovely. Just what we needed. We hope to be back next year and book there again. We feel we have found our perfect location as the lakes has special meaning for us on our journey, thank you to all the staff at the hotel.
