We stay just for an extra night after a week in Cornwall. It is a very old hotel which has been beautifully renovated. Attention to detail in the room was outstanding. Provided plenty of big thick plush towels And bathrobe and slippers. Toiletries were provided. Tea coffee facilities with lovely home-made Shortbread was a lovely touch. The beds were comfortable and good quality bedding.. The only problem we had was the room was that we couldn’t open the window much and it was too hot. However, apparently there was a fan in the wardrobe that we didn’t see. The customer service here was outstanding, particularly in the restaurant. The parking was a bit awkward as it was a busy Saturday evening, but we managed to park in the basement eventually. There were interesting photos and letters and information about the hotel history which is really interesting to us as my partners family have stayed there over three generations going back to 1920s.

Beautiful hotel with plenty of history in a beautiful setting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and went out of there way to accommodate us. We stayed in the triple room as a family. The room was outstanding, immaculate with very high standard fittings. Breakfast was v high standard in the hotel and 'The working boat' pub underneath the hotel served delicious high quality food. Will definitely stay there again.

Simply superb! We had a family suite, even though there were only 2 of us. This gave us a seating area and a balcony with a view of the river. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and thought the standard of food and service was great, as was breakfast. Breakfast was cooked to order and at busy times food had been sitting under a hot lamp, but on the whole we were very pleased with the choice. The staff were very efficient and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back, we loved the position and everything about it.

Wonderful time. Small mix up with the wrong room at the start but was immediately rectified by the hotel and we had a wonderful stay with our 3 children. The service was first class and food amazing. The views were wonderful too!

I was down in Cornwall for an anniversary. I needed to be within walking distance of family.
