Great central location for shopping and amenities. Lots of restaurants nearby and would be a great place to stay if you have kids as the shopping mall is attached to the hotel.

Quick check-in. My family arrived at @11 am, and the staff quickly accommodated rooms for us. Friendly welcome.
I have been traveling to Udon for the last 12 years, and I usually stay at this hotel. In my perspective, Centara is one of the best hotels in Udon.
Breakfast is ok.

I have booked 3 rooms for the meeting of family and friends. The location was great and the breakfast fantastic. On the minus side - the reception staff had difficulties communicating in English and also booking transportation from the hotel - it was taking too long. Also my room key cards were breaking, had to re-activate with reception. Deposit for the stay was in the fine print - 2400 baht per room, they put it on the credit card promising to refund in 7-10 days. It is OK but extremely rare, found only in apartment rentals. There was also a moment when the hotel shut down entire elevator system and people were pounding the elevator walls and screamed until they were rescued. Overall, not bad stay but because of the issues encountered, I do not recommend the place for individual travelers, it is more for weddings, large groups, conventions, etc.

Fabulous hotel, the staff could not do enough for you. We were visiting family so cannot rate Udon Thani as a tourist destination.

Good housekeeping, restaurant and reception and bar staff. Had been my regular hotel since 2005. Few rooms still under refurbishment. I do tip every single staff (breakfast, bell boys) and reception staff and bar (welcome drink) as all are employees only. This includes when I'm in Europe. I'm not a tourist or on biz. Only go to 6 monasteries to offer specially sourced monks pana available only overseas to 3 of my religious teachers supported by Thai royal family. From Australia fly to get monks pana then fly to Udon. 50kgs in carton boxes.
