This Resort is not safe and life risk. You asking why? I can tell you that my son and wife could be dead, because they want to take a shower and got a voltage shock. No fuse to stop voltage. This so dangerous ! Only by luck nothing serious happened cause they have been able to jump away from water. So water, pipe and the complete wall were under voltage. Can you imagne what would happen if a infant touch the pipe or stand under water which is under voltage? So we called reception. thex fixed it, but nothing else. No excuse. No one asking if my wife or son get hurt. No one asked if we need doctor. After we again complained, we have been offered another room. That´s it. On next morning check out a manager come and apologize and offered a polo shirt for compansion. WHAT A SHAME !!! After this dangerous case which could take life. This Resort don´t taking care of life! This Resort is beautiful but safe ! Taking a shower could take your life.

This is not a 5 stars hotel, not even 5 stars hostel. I will try to summarize it as much as possible, because we had a very bad experience. We booked the vacation with a baby, no sign was shown that the hotel didn’t suit for a baby - all on the mountains with a lot of stairs. No access to the main village, only from the beach and the sand, not trivial with a stroller. We stayed because we still had a good memory from Santhiya Koh Chang from 3 years ago. We took a room with a private pool - in practice the building was deserted, dirty and distant from the main area. We added more money to change room and we got an “upgrade” to a villa, which in practice was very old and in bad condition: full of ants, dirty, neglected with broken facilities, aka I felt like I’m coming to camping instead of relaxing. We stayed there because we didn’t want to complain anymore. About the hotel itself - it looks like they haven’t recovered from covid yet. The hotel area is huge and they are absolutely understaffed. There was no gym, only a small and broken room that you had to book ahead. The pool was super dirty and disgusting during rain situations. At the last night we cane back to the room and found out that it was full of flying insects all over the place - the toilet and the sheets. Immediately we demanded to move, and then we had to pack again and move to another villa, which was way better. It just clarified us that the hotel gives very bad and neglected rooms to customers with a very hig

This property was amazing! Only one thing that stopped me from giving it a 5 star which I will address later. The website pictures did not disappoint and do not do the property justice. Traditional Thai style carved wood and stone designs throughout. The room had a pleasant aroma of citronella and we had zero issues with mosquitoes in room or on balcony/private pool area. Please consider having a separate area or floor for Adults Only. My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon in one of the "Pool Suite Sea View" rooms. Even though out of neigboring room's view, on both sides were families with kids being loud and splashing/jumping in their private pool areas. Kids are going to be kids, I get it, but it did put a damper on a 'romantic getaway' for us. Not to mention we were very self conscious of what 'if' they were to hear us as well. Maybe consider allowing the "Deluxe Pool Access" or private villas to only allow kids? This property is way bigger than it seems. Everything is spread out and incline/decline hills as it's built into mountain side. That being said, it is not necessarily easy to leave your room and walk to the lobby, restaurant or beach etc. You have to call desk for a ride. Also, it is about 45 minutes up in the mountains away from Koh PhaNagan ferry area & main city resort/hotel zones. The resort is secluded but there is a very small village about 10 min walk away. So if you're trying to see the whole island, this is not the place to stay.
