Splash Beach Resort, Mai Khao, Phuket

This place is hard to review. Technically everything individually is not good, but the sum of parts make it good for families. Rooms are big, but not so nice. Feee acces to water park, breakfast is zero stars to having free breakfast is more like punishment, but watching plans take off from her beach was great. Cashew chicken was good for dinner. I dunno, it’s fine.

It was a good place to stay, very family friendly of course (attached to a water park). The beach at the back of the property was perfect.

Excellent resort for families, water park in the grounds. Excellent food. Happy, friendly staff.

Beautiful property. Great water park for children and adults. Restaurants were good. Music in the splash kitchen needs to changed. They only played one Christmas CD for 8 days and nights. The music at the beach bar was very inappropriate and offensive to women and Children. There are no Air conditioned areas outside of your room or the splash kitchen. Very hot hotel lobby. Trolley transportation on the grounds is excellent.

I wanted my family to have the experience of a lifetime. I am sure they will never forget their time at the resort I rented a 4 bedroom Villa it was the first time everyone had their own rooms. I can't say enough about the Staff they would jump through hoops of fire for you! And the Villa was well for lack of better words AMAZING 😍. I would suggest this to anyone especially families that want that one special experience. Thank you Splash resort ❤️🙏

We booked a 2 bedroom penthouse apartment with a pool which was really great although unfortunatley there were no decent TV channels available for UK guests but as we were mostly out during the day it wasn't a big deal but would have been nice to sit down as a family to watch something later in the evening. We booked this hotel in part as it is close to the airport for our connecting flight but it should be noted that it is on the other side of the runway from the terminal so although it looks close by, it is actually a bit of a trek by taxi and for a family with suitcases cost a lot more than we expected to get to. The grounds are huge and the hotel provides electric buggies to help the guests get around which is a nice feature. Not the hotels fault I know but my only word of warning to any UK visitors is be prepared for some extremely rude other guests as there were quite a few who lacked even basic manners. Far more than could be put down to coincidence.

We booked a villa with four bedrooms with kitchen through hotel.com. The hotel.com website states the villa is able to accommodate 10 people. We have 9 people finally but the resort charged us an extra person as the resort's policy is only for 8 adults and 2 children but the resort didn't tell when we were check-in. The resort tried to keep our deposit when checking out. The staff told us they informed us this policy in the middle of our stay but we haven't got this message since then. We spent over 30 minutes to discuss this issue with the resort and finally got the deposit back. It was really a bad experience at the end of our stay. Other than that, the golf car around the resort is convenient. The beach pool is nice. The restaurants and massage near the resort are good and easy to access.

Wonderful place! Good for kids!

We arrived around 16:00 and our room wasn't ready. This was not good, as it is very warm and we are traveling with 3 kids. But as we sat and waited for our room to be ready, they came and told us they had a room ready, and upgraded our room to a big villa with private pool. The staff was very service minded and polite. And the villa was super nice. The kids loved it. The resort is HUGE, but very nice and clean.
