Grand Kata VIP - Kata Beach

Rooms are fantastic,separate bedroom,lounge and kitchen,about 10 minute walk to the beach and central to all the shops,happy hour at pool was 2-4pm which was a bit early but the main reason I wouldn’t stay here again is because it was full of Russians and families which made it quite noisy day and night

We opted for the plunge pool room. It was a small outdoor area. Not sure it was worth the price difference. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The AC needed a card in the slot to keep it going, so it took a while to cool down when you return to the room. Breakfast had some good options with an egg bar. The restaurant had different event themes that we did not get a chance to try, but looked nice. We did not spend any time at Kata Beach because it was difficult to access and not an overly nice beach. Tons of restaurance nearby and the night market and walking street within a 5 minute walk. Tons of families, not a party area. Costly taxi and Grab to go to nearby towns or sightseeing. If you are set on the area, the hotel was nice, but I suggest a different island in Thailand as it didn't feel like Thailand and the local restaurants had novels for menus.
