We stayed in SAii Laguna for 5 days in August 2024 (husband, me and 3 kids aged 17,15 & 12) & we were provided with two rooms next to each other which were both clean, spacious and had wonderful outside space and views of the lagoon. There was a lot of construction work at the hotel but this did not affect our stay at all - the team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to provide us with everything we needed. The location really is wonderful with a perfect beach and a shuttle bus service (free) which took us around the resort which is huge. We also ate at two local restaurants outside the resort which were equally great. The pool, gym and complimentary classes (I did yoga, Pilates, Thai boxing, strength and towel animal folding!) were superb with really lovely staff. Our only issue with this hotel which is not easy to resolve is the sound proofing of the bedrooms. The walls and ceilings are very thin so we struggled to sleep as our neighbours above tended to be later at returning in the evening and then enjoyed some socialising. In other hotels this has not been an issue but we struggled with the noise levels at SAii Laguna as did our children, specifically furniture being moved and general conversation which could be clearly heard by us. This was a real shame as affected our stay and sleep but we were also told the hotel was full so no option to move.

Excellent hotel, superb staff and delicious food. The location is perfect for families and many famous day clubs and restaurants walking distnace on the beach. Earn did a fantastic job with our check in and my kids loved this hotel facilities. We will definitely come again. Love the white sand beach and the laguna shopping area.

The staff do their best in what is an old property that hasn’t seen much renovation. The breakfast is excellent but other F&B options are average to poor and likely aimed more at package deal guests from Eastern Europe. They allow smoking and it is prevalent around the breakfast area and kids pool area which is very unpleasant. I would say my stay was ok but I would not stay there again given the better options available for a similar price in Phuket. Other hotels in the area such as the banyan tree are also older but maintain better standards at a similar price point.

This resort was perfect for relaxation with kids
We had club membership as a result of booking club room so we had unlimited beverages throughout the day
even if you are not a club member, you get
Private less touristy beach
Kids club with by the good classes for kids and nice care takers. You can also book a private baby sitter/nanny through the resort in case you want to go for dinner date and with return by the time club closes. My kid learnt Thai boxing, tennis
Amazing breakfast every morning with lots of fresh fruits
Even adults have good classes such as wind surfing /sailing all included in resort fees.
Just on the beach you can take snorkeling tour, very reasonable and can decide to go whenever you want. My kid had an introductory snorkeling tour
Very close to the resort to the beach, you can also go to Maya beach club if you are in the mood for some cool vibe, look up the club it’s amazing too so while your kids are at kids club you can be at maya beach club
The staff is polite and they also arranged for mini vans for us to go to big Buddha for a additional payment

Our room had a leaky window where water pooled and the floor was completely molded through. If you stepped on the floor in that area you literally might fall through.
Additionally we were disappointed that the pool did not have lifejackets for children and offered that we go buy life jackets despite having a large pool and slide. The slide was obviously constructed for children, yet not offering proper safety equipment for children is just a liability. If I am paying $400 a night I expect to be provided a life jacket for my child to wear for the few hours we spend in the pool.
Even if I bought a life jacket I wouldn't bring it home because who allocates half their suite case space to a life jacket? So obviously those purchased life jackets get left behind and most likely resold over and over again!
