Splendid Hotel Khaoyai

An enjoyable 3 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is new (when we stayed in 2018) and clean. It's away from the main strip in Khao Yai and if you stay here you will most likely need your own transport, although I think there were motorcycles and bicycles for hire from the hotel. The restaurant was very quiet at night - there was no lounge/bar at the hotel but drinks & beer were available in the restaurant. Outside the hotel there is nowhere within walking distance to eat or drink - you will need transport to get to a bar or restaurant. There are no tuk-tuks nearby. The swimming pool was clean. seemed to get most use and be popular with children late afternoon and early evening, when the sun was not so hot. A very nice, peaceful hotel; comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. We had a nice view of a nearby mountain from our hotel room. The balcony was a nice size for sitting outside and relaxing. Free wi-fi - decent connection & speed. We would be happy to stay here again when we want a relaxing stress free break.

We stayed 3N and can't praise more on the team of dedicated front-desk staff - Mr Warapot and a lady staff with short hair ( my apology for not getting your name) were extremely patient and helpful to plan my itinerary each morning as our driver were not familiar with Pak Chong. On our third day our van broke down at the national park after our trekking. Our driver gave a call to the hotel and a truck was sent to our rescue. Thumbs up for their quick action that me and my 3 children safely returned to the hotel before night falls! Only setback was the stench from my room's toilet which I believe the hotel's maintenance staff can address without a problem.

I think the kid’s corner is too small. The room is very nice.
