Boat service too and from the hotel is good, it goes every hour from hotel to pier. But the pier is too far from Ao Nang (shops, restaurants, bars etc) and then you have to get taxi there, which isn’t cheap! Takes about 15 mins from hotel to pier and then another 10 mins in taxi to Ao Nang.
Quickest way to Ao Nang is by walking the monkey trail, which isn’t easy, a lot of steep stairs takes about 20 minutes, wouldn’t recommend with young kids.
Hotel prices for food, alcohol, massage etc is so so expensive, double or triple the price for the same thing you get in town!
Breakfast buffet was ok, not a lot of options for western cuisine, they mainly cater for Indians, most guests there were Indian when we stayed.
Overall, the hotel is nice, rooms cleaned everyday and staff are friendly and helpful.
It you want a resort style holiday, laying by the pool all day then it’s good but very inconvenient if you want to explore and see other parts of Krabi

My expectations were exceeded. I read all the reviews before booking but I have nothing negative to say! The staff was courteous and attentive. The boats were frequent and convenient. The food was mostly delicious, with variety of options. We booked the phi phi island tour which was most convenient with excellent guide. It’s secluded enough that my kids could be trusted to do their own thing when they wanted. I traveled solo with my 18 year old daughter and 12 year old son. The E-zone was closed but the kid zone had a PlayStation 4 and 5 that my son enjoyed playing while my daughter and I got massages as Spa Cenvare which was heaven. The staff promptly did wound care when my son got scraped up on the beach. The staff promptly fixed our door which wouldn’t seal shut so bugs didn’t get in. The street food and fire show as Sun Bua was AMAZING. The breakfast buffet had so many interesting options. Monkey trail was a highlight, as was kayaking and paddle boarding along the karsts where we saw monitor lizards, a huge snake and crabs. We had such a magical vacation. This was a tropical paradise that appears as if you are on a private island the way it’s nestled on the coast. Would stay again.

Friendly and helpful staff and good service which exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to Tangmo! 😊 Few shortcomings about the hotel are the lack of entertainment and activities, generally for everyone but especially for kids. The kids club and everything about it was extremely disappointing that our son didn’t even want to be there without us. Extremely high prices at the restaurants and the food quality was not matching the high price. Extremely secluded and difficult to get to the town and back via monkey trail. Not possible to order food from outside the resort either. Breakfast quality varied during our 8 nights stay… there were days where there were many choices and some days limited. Extremely poor with omlette stand.

Travelling with kids (10 and 8 years old), they loves the pool! Great breakfast! I did not rate it a 5 start only because trying to get the hotel to arrange transport was really difficult. Just arrange hotel transfer from the airport through Klook. Only 635 Bhat, vs. 1500 that the hotel wanted to charge. Book shuttle back right away or there may not be room.

The location of the property is indeed picturesque, and its design is appealing from a distance. However, it's apparent, as echoed in numerous previous reviews, that the rooms could benefit from some updates as they exhibit signs of wear and tear.
Two primary concerns stand out regarding the property. Firstly, the accessibility requires a boat, a crucial detail that should be clearly communicated upfront. While this is common in the area due to its natural setting, the frequency and booking process of the ferries pose inconvenience. Departures occur hourly, and reservations must be made well in advance due to limited capacity, disrupting spontaneous plans. The alternative, a challenging hike to Ao Nang or an expensive "private boat" option, further compounds the issue.
Secondly, the property tends to be crowded, affecting various aspects of the guest experience. Breakfast is consistently busy, securing a seat can be challenging, and the pool area is often bustling. Additionally, the presence of many families and children alters the ambiance of the vacation, which may not be ideal for some guests.
Despite these drawbacks, the staff members are commendable in their service.
In summary, while the location and pricing may be suitable for last-minute bookings, it's advisable to conduct thorough research before making a reservation.

We had a great time at Centara, everything worked as planned, the staff was outstandingly friendly and the food is great. The prices are high compared to thai standarts, but fot a five star hotel they are normal. Also, we saw a lot of wild animals as the hotel is located in a national park (monkeys :)). We will definitely come back and recommend it to families or couples!

We had a great holiday with our two children. The resort has spacious rooms with large balconies, the pool is lovely and right next to the private beach which is quite beautiful. It has a water slide which the kids loved. The staff were very helpful. To get to most rooms you have to walk up many wooden stairs, but if you need transport to the room the hotel has a buggy service which works quite well. To get to the town for shopping, restaurants, or other services, you can either take the resort's boat by booking in advance, or you can do the Monkey Trail, which is quite strenuous and is wooden stairs going up and down. I would say that the Monkey Trail isn't easy. Overall I was very impressed and would recommend this place absolutely.

The resort is peaceful and quiet but only accessible via boat. Food is limited to what is available at the resort. We tried the seafood buffet one night and was disappointed. Two of my family members got food poisoning from eating there.

Spectacular views with a private beach. Rooms are clean but don’t leave food out because ants/insects will get into your room. Amenities are great. Food was overpriced for the quality however offered lots of international foods which was nice. They have 4 other restaurants on the property which is great to have. Hotel is right next to Ao Nang Beach however it is only accessible by monkey trail (which is challenging for elderly or people who are not physically fit) or by private longtail which is 1000 bahts. One thing the hotel could improve upon is the service, we didn’t get some items we asked for and they took a long time when we did put a request in something. Overall, I would recommend the hotel. It is very family friendly and they have lots of activities to do from kayaking to water sports, etc.
