Altstadt Hotel

The room was way too small for a family of 4. Cramped like sardines in a tin can. The elevator stopped working on our check-out day and my family and I had to carry our suitcases down 4 flights of steps.

We had an excellent stay for my family of 4. Great location in Old Town right by the river and in close proximity to restaurants. The mattresses for the beds set up for my children were a little too firm but that was the only improvement - we were happy that they had their own beds here as most hotels we are staying at only have a sofa bed from them.

I travelled with ny family if 4 this past new tear day. The location is great and walkable to the old town attractions. Check in and check out were very easy and both persons at the desk/ barista were very friendly and we were able to get late checkout even though the hotel was at capacity. . The buffet breakfast was lovely, sliced meats and cheese fruit, bread and fresh and variety if coffees. Highly recommend for a quick trip to Zurich

Great location near shopping, the river and lots of restaurants. The staff were very friendly and always welcomed us with a smile. Rooms are small but clean. Our family was able to walk easily to everything and it was less than 1 mile from the train station. Would return again.

This is a small hotel with good location less than 100m away from the beginning of the Limmat river which flow out from Lake Zurich. We are able to walk to the old town attractions nearby including the bustling x'mas markets. We are a family of 5 and the size of the 2 rooms we had were ok and not exceptional. The were no telephones in the room so we cannot call and talk to our children. Telephone should be a standard item in the hotel room. The rooms and sheets were clean but the mattresses were hard and the pillows were small and soft. If the hotel improves on these, then the sleep could be better. There were noises into the night from the street below and were annoying. Service at the front desk was good although it doubles as a cashier point for the small restaurant on the ground floor. The space at the service desk in front of it is small and we have to haul our luggage up the flight of steps into the small lift. A ramp could instead be provided.
