Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. The location is so close to all public transit and endless restaurants and shopping opportunities. It's very close to the parliament building. There is a public market on Saturday and Sunday everything is closed (shops, grocery stores) but restaurants/coffees are open. Overall a great location, quiet (if you get the courtyard rooms) and a very pleasant stay.

Booked a quadruple family rm which are 2 very small connecting rooms. Only upon entering the rooms did we realised that the aircon in both rooms are not working! What???Fans were provided instead. Went to check with the receptionist & was told the aircon has been down since Nov ‘21. She didn’t even bother to inform us during our check in. Aircon room is one of the criteria for our hotel selection. Why are the rooms still available for booking despite the faulty aircon?? They should have the basic courtesy to at least inform us prior to our arrival. We felt so cheated!! No compensation was offered until we requested but they could only offer us free breakfast which we can’t enjoy as we need to check out early the next day before their breakfast commence at 7am. Utterly disappointed!!
