Elite Grand Hotel Gävle

It is a lovely old hotel in the center of Gävle. It has been beautifully updated, The staff were very nice and helpful. We were there in July, 2018. During the heat wave. It was 28 C in our room. With no ventilation or air conditioning. We had a window but no breeze came through. The lobby and dining room were air conditioned. I realize the hotel can’t control the weather. But once they knew there was a heat wave, I feel the management should have provided options, like a fan. That would have helped. We actually saw a family taking a fan to their room. But none was had in town when we were there. The heat wave had been going on for a while. I booked several months in advance.
