This is a small family hotel. Nothing boutique about it. The staff were friendly and the mattresses comfortable and breakfast and dinner OK.

Fantastic family hotel although a little away from town. Best part was the manner in which we were looked after by the very kind family. We had a superb vegetarian meal prepared home style by the family. Excellent housekeeping and the boy helper was fantastic- he went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. I would suggest that the place does NOT need a gym or swimming pool and the space with the bar etc is all wasted and that they are better off having rooms instead. Little out of town but the stay was fantastic

Wonderful family owned B&B. Well decorated, clean and comfortable ( The bed was a little hard for me but pillow really nice) It's a small cute place with fantastic service. A small pool outside was nice to swim in at night to relax. When the cable worked there was a few english chanels but the electricity went out( not the hotels fault of course) Air con works really well. Food was good, depending on what you ordered. The staff helped us book a driver(he was awesome!) The only thing that was strange is when we sat down to eat in the dinning area, they would literally stand right behind us and watch us eat. lol I know they are trying to be at service but that was a bit much. And there is a dog outside in the back yard, that was facing our window and he Barks very loud and constantly. The owners did shut him up a few times and he did stop barking late at night, so we would sleep. Other then the staring and dog, it's really quite a cute place. I'd go again! ( Also, last thing, we were charged more then the actual booking from hotels.com. We booked the room for 64 canadian and was charged more 95 canadian. I have to contact Hotels.com and tell them)

I absolutely loved this place! My family and I stayed here for two nights while we were in Sri Lanka for our winter vacation. Prior to our arrival, the owner of the hotel contacted me, and asked if there was anything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable. He was able to arrange a fantastic tour and driver for our entire 11 day stay in the country!
The staff at Ayaana itself is so welcoming, hospitable, and kind. They answered all of our questions about the city. They also provided incredible home cooked meals, coffee, tea, and fresh juice at our request. The hotel was also very peaceful. It was like waking up at home, but with the amenities of a hotel. Absolutely fantastic. You must stay here if you come to Kandy!

Amazing property to stay. The property is very well managed by the whole family. It was a pleasure to stay with such wonderful hosts. Aunty and their daughter and daughter in law were amazing host. The rooms are very comfortable and most importantly peaceful. Once you enter the property you dont feel like venturing out. I would also like to mention about Riaz and Shabeer for the service. They are a gem. They have instruments where the Grand kids played songs and entertained us with lovely Hindi and English songs. Truly talented bunch of Kids. They have a in house well equipped gym. The food is amazing and were served hot on time. Would recommend this place to everybody for a stay in Kandy. We thank you guys for all the service and hospitality...you guys are just amazing as a family...We for sure will book the property for our next visit.

Nice,peaceful location near Kandy town.
Hotel is a family business.
Staff is very helpful and polite, room was spacious and clean.
Restaurant was also excellent.
If you need to go to Kandy then you will have to use a taxi, tuk tuk or rent a scooter but this was not a problem for my staying.
Overall i would recommend this place for relaxation and family atmosphere.

Ayaana Boutique Hotel is a new and modern family owned hotel located approximately 15-20 minutes drive from Kandy city centre, the Temple of the Tooth, and the train station. It's easy to reach with a taxi or tuk-tuk (and the hotel staff love to help you out). The rooms are modern, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The hotel also offers a relaxing pool area, a nice gym, home cooked tasty food, and much more. The staff is welcoming and extraordinary service minded. This was by far the best hotel we had in Sri Lanka. I travelled with my parents and we all loved it. I recommend it to everyone travelling to Kandy.
