El Plantio Golf Resort

Good family accommodation. Car would be required if you wanted to explore the area.

Me, my wife and our nine year old son stayed at el Plantio for 12 nights, mainly for golfing. The Apartments are alright, but old and in need of renovation to be honest. We were there ten years ago, and those ten years gone do show. If you come to El Plantio solely for golf and don't expect luxury, then it's a good stay and very price worthy. The golf course is nice and fun to play. Not too challenging for low handicappers (I'm a 1 handicap) though, but enjoyable for all level golfers. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is alright, but not fantastic. The menu is rather short though, so for longer stays I highly recomend a rental car to go into Alicante or Elche for dinner. Or to visit a supermarket and stock up to cook yourselves. Or at least plan to go there by Taxi which costs around €15 - 20 one way to Alicante. The pool area is clean and good for both adults and kids.. For beach and ocean I would recomend going to Playa de San Juan which is a little further, on the other side of Alicante, but totally worth it. To sum it up: - For a golf vacation / getaway = good - Food is alright for snacks, and dining once or twice - If you expect a resort experience - Look elsewhere I can only really recomend el Plantio if you go there for Golf, or for a 1-2 nights stayover.

Very rude staff would t even serve my husband some water for our children even though she was just shutting the bar it was midnight we just landed no water in the room disgusting attitude!!

The apartments were very generous in size. Other than the pool, gym, football pitch and golf, there is nothing else to do. Wish there was a kids club or evening entertainment. On the whole, it’s not far from Alicante or the airport but not much to do aro7nd the property.

The resort was amazing . Rooms were huge and perfect for family if 5 . Very clean . Breakfast was amazing

Had a lovely 4 nights here with family. Pools were great and pretty quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was ok, good selection but cooked eggs, bacon etc was always cold. Lots of fresh fruit and pastries. Had lunch a couple of times, which was ok, but never wanted to stay in the hotel for dinner. Should have another more appealing dinner, not the same breakfast and lunch one. Every night we hot a taxi into Alicante, 10 mins and roughly around €15. Really great town and spoilt for choice for bars and restaurants. Our apartment was really nice, clean and spacious for 5, and great having 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and lounge area. Yes would go back but maybe need a car as it is in the middle of nowhere.

We stayed in a 3 bed apartment. Lovely and spacious overlooking the second pool. Very quiet (depending on guests). A good nights sleep with a good breakfast. My only negative is I wished they invested in some parasols for the pool as there was very little shade for the children around the pool.

Great resort, quiet but close to the town for restaurants etc. Lovely big rooms ideal relaxing family break

Our apartment was very clean and nice. The food at The restaurant was awful. We were eating the dinner, Meat was partly raw, and partly over-done. Our children didnt like the hamburger, sauce was really weird. Our waitress was mean To our daughter, she was standing on the wrong place. The receptionist was very nice and helpfull. The resort was very peaceful and cozy.
