We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Langosteira while touring around Galicia by car. Given that the hotel was on the main road, parking outside was really simple and straight forward. The room was a decent size and very clean. As with most hotels we visited in Galicia, it was of a good standard at a very reasonable price. As the hotel out of town we decided to have both lunch and then dinner at the hotel which was extremely good. The second night we visited a well known local high end restaurant on the edge of town - that was a 15 minute walk away along the beach. The Praia de Langosteira beach is across the road from the hotel via a three minute walk down a quiet lane, which culminates in a beach bar on the Camino route - so the hotel is perfectly located for the beach and that particular bar. It's worth noting that this is one of the best beaches IN THE WORLD. It's massive, sandy and stunningly beautiful and by staying at the hotel you can take advantage of it. Just north of the hotel - a five minute drive away is another beach - Praia de Sardiñeiro. The western end of perfect for toddlers as it's shallow with no waves. As to downsides? Difficult to say, the hotel is of an old style but has been well refurbished so I wouldn't give it top marks on 'condition'. The worst I can say was the the chips with one of the meals were badly cooked - which is remarkably un-Spanish! Other than this minor point I'd recommend the hotel and would revisit if in the area.

Owned by a family and it shows. They obviously care about the hotel and make their clients feel welcome. It is a little bit out of the main part of town, but that's probably a good thing. Short walk to the beach.

I've been traveling extensively throughout Europe for the last 90 days and have stayed over 20 hotels but this place was by far the best . The staff went out of their way to help with all my needs . I stayed at other four and five star hotels that could learn a lot from this family-run business

While the hotel is not right on the beach, it is very close. I was there finishing up my Pilgrimage so the beach was not important anyway. Besides being very clean and affordable, the staff at this family run Hotel is what makes the difference. Sonja, who seems to be there all the time greeted me when I checked in and she or some other family member seemed to always be around. Because of our schedule not necessarily meshing with the lunch or dinner schedule, when we asked about getting something to eat, we were told that the kitchen was closed. At most hotels, this would have been the end. On 2 separate days, Sonja said that she could make us a sandwich/bocadillo, which were very good. She didn't have to do this and it was appreciated. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were huge by Spanish standards. The hotel also had A/C, after sweating my way across Spain on the Camino, A/C was a real treat! I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Fisterra/Finisterra. One thing that you should be aware of is that it's outside of town proper, the only drawback if you want to be in town.
