Hotel Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto, Affiliated by Meliá

The shuttle was the airport was great: easy to find, fast, on-time. The hotel was terrible. I’ve stayed here maybe 10 times over the years, but I won’t go back. I arrived to a room that was very dirty. There were hairs in the tub, carpet appeared dirty and not vacuumed. I requested another room was told they only had a family room kn the E level (like the street above some storage area) It too was not clean…I even found papers from another client on the floor near the bed. I gave them to reception. The shuttle works great, location is excellent for airport and there are loads of things within walking distance. The hotel looks rundown now and the bed was uncomfortable, room was dirty- twice- and the price has increased significantly. The worst thing was the receptionist didn’t offer a solution. A simple offer to send housekeeping would have been acceptable- not even that. Unfortunate. Bad experience won’t be back!

We booked a family room and needed near the airport. Liked the free shuttle service (the ONLY redeeming part of our stay as it was on time, convenient and the driver was polite). The room was dirty. Looked as if hadn’t been vacuumed in quite a while. Then, we discovered an old piece of food on the floor swarmed with ants. Ants everywhere! My husband went to front desk. The woman at desk was rude. Basically didn’t care we had ants in our room. They were full. She offered no help. He requested they spray. A nice housekeeper came (she was very kind and apologetic) and sprayed with some sort of bleach cleaner (we have children who then had to sleep in this room). She was kind and scrubbed. However, we had to stay in a Room with ants in the corners as it was late and they offered no other help. Would NOT recommend to anyone. Had they been more kind and accommodating, this would have left a better taste in our mouths.

Outdated hotel. Loud with room doors closing all hours in a hallway that amplified it all. Loud family in next room with young child yelling until after 1am. Too much money to put up with all that

The hotel is clean. Big room and bathroom that can accommodate a family of four easily. If you just need a no-frill place to stay over night for transit without paying a lot, then I’d recommend it. There are many restaurants walkable nearby for dinner. The hotel and room decorations are a bit dated and could use some renovation. So if you have unlimited budget and are looking for a nicer, more luxurious hotel; this is probably not for you. The shuttle runs a bit infrequent. I had to wait for almost an hour to get picked up from the airport to the hotel. But I had no problem getting the shuttle from the hotel to the airport. The breakfast buffet was nice with a lot of variety to choose from.

The hotel was excellent the problem was with the shuttles. They don’t help with the suitcase. Probably the service need another person who help. I was travelling with a baby, the guy never helped me, Aldo another old lady was there and I had to help her.

Hotel itself was decent. There are some needed repairs (loose floor tiles, etc.). I would say the service was somewhat lacking. The entire reason I chose this hotel was the shuttle service. Upon arrival, I was told that there were no spots available on the shuttle for my trip to the airport. The email I received said to reserve at check in, apparently it was advisable to reserve the shuttle by phone ahead of time. The front desk staff were useful but not cordial. The after hours food availability was not great (limited to gross vending food or overpriced snacks sitting in the mini fridge in water puddles). The stay was comfortable and the family was fine overall, but it could have been better.

Nice hotel - beautiful lobby, hallways, but the room was much to be desired for. We stayed at a family suite and the room was small and old. We could barely fit our 5 luggages in the room. Staff was pleasant and friendly.
