Hotel Les Roques

Lovely family hotel with very high personal customer service.

This place a bit off the main road is nice, clean and cosy. It is not internatinal chain standard but for those who had to use those for business for ages a real relief. The owner family does everything to provide a nice stay. The restaurant provides fantastic local food with a very fine red wine.

Quiet family run hotel in a developing area. Room basic but spotlessly clean. Very good evening meal at an excellent price. Wine cheap but gin and tonic expensive.

We chose Hotel Les Roques as a convenient overnight for driving from Barcellona to Carcosonne (Fr), and were really only after an inexpensive bed in a clean room. Hotel LR was all this and more. It is a family home and bar/restaurant that has been expanded to be a comfortable, homely and pleasingly rustic holiday hotel very suited to families. The surroundings are pleasant and away from the crowds while being reasonably convenient to the coast. We particularly liked the friendly family service, the excellent meals focussing on local produce (including wines from the immediate locale) and recipes. Breakfast cooked on the fireplace in the bar will not be forgotten. Hotel Les Roques was a very pleasant and very cost exffective experience for this pair of aging Aussies. A real taste of rural Catalonia. Near the beach and a short drive to the mountains. Great food, great staff/owners, plenty of room for kids to play. The best part was that it is the main place of activity in the town. The locals partook in the pool, playground, and the restaurant. Great times.
