Kimpton Vividora Hotel, an IHG Hotel

We loved this hotel. It was the only one I found to have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath family suite. We loved the rooftop pool and the sangria up there! Breakfast was included and good!

Arrived in Barcelona early and checked in early but the room was not available at the time. Came back at 3pm and the room was still not available. Hotel was busy and guest were still checking in. We finally received our family room as requested, and it was quite comfortable and the views were amazing of the old gothic corridor. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Each one of them went out of their way to provide the best service. The Hotel is close to La Rambla which is perfect to access restaurants and shops. I would stay here again for sure

I booked Kimpton Vividora for our trip with with my wife. This was the first trip with just the two of us in eight years since our son was born so we decided to book a five star hotel with high expectations. I booked the essential room which was supposed to have a king size bed and I also requested for this in an additional message. However when we got there we got a room with a 140m bed. We discussed the issue with hotel staff but nothing could be done. In addition to sleeping in a child-size bed not fit for two adults there was absolutely no sound proofing on the doors. As people talked in a normal volume on the hotel corridor it sounded like they were actually in our room. On top of that one staff member decided to loudly speak to their radiophone on the corridor in the middle of the night waking us up. The rooms had a nice design and the rooftop pool area was lovely but there are a lot of hotels in Barcelona so you are better off in some other hotel.
