Gran Hotel Barcino

Our stay as a family was very convenient especially as I have a daughter with disabilities, the hotel is fully accessible & has an accessible room with roll in shower. The hotel is centrally located so very convenient to get around and see all the main sights in the city. Breakfast was also very good.

Overall Satisfied & happy, very friendly & service-minded personnel at the reception, restaurant and room cleaning. Location was more than great in the middle of city, near to everything yet no noise at the rooms which was perfect. We were family of 3, first room we got was small theta we had not enough space for luggage but we got upgraded to bigger room with no charge which was appreciated, however the room was hot, the AC was turned off as the reception said it is considered to be winter despite the fact that the weather was 21 outside so it was warm and humid in the room, after complaining problem with ventilation could not be solved but we got a fan which was ok. As a 4-star hotel the room lacked some stuffs like tea kettle, slippers etc.

I stayed in Hotel Gran Barcino for one night while in Barcelona. The hotel is centrally located and close to many attractions. The room it self wax very clean, comfortable and if was obviously revamped. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was spacious and clean. Hotel offers breakfast buffet for $10 euro per person, which is not a bad price for all thud options you have. This hotel was definitely a very good option for me and my family.

We ordered s as bd paid for three quadruple rooms and when we checked in we’re hive 5 double rooms instead. Although the person was apologetic it did not resolve the issue of having four children who now had to sleep in their own rooms. We had ordered quadruple rooms for the size and to accommodate two adults and two children. Then had to think about how to have the four in a family go into two separate rooms - although they were side by side. Definitely what we did not expect. Other than that, the location was great and the staff very nice. But this was a definite disappointment for us to not have the rooms we ordered and paid for.
