The property is well located being in the heart of the harbour area and close to all the usual tourist sites as well as next door to the World Trade Centre.
For that reason the property is expensive as are the meals and drinks etc in the bar.
However, while the serving staff are polite and efficient the same cant be said for the management and reservations team. I emailed the GM asking for my reservation to be modified and he did not even return my email. I also emailed the reservation team, same here, no response. Front dsk team just quoted compant policy and would nbot entertain a request to allow me to check out a day ealry. Most 4 star hotels are happy to help especially when you have a family issue that requires you to return home sooner than planned. However, Eurostars do not allow you to modify your reservation and just want to keep the money you have paid even though you don't use the last night. I spoke to the front desk and explained my situation and all I got was 'company policy'!!So much for sympathy and caring about guests!
I called Expedia and asked them to help. They were happy to amend the reservation and called the hotel team. However Eurostars reservations team refused to amend the booking. I am still waiting for the GM to reply to my email as well as the reservations team. Be warned that there is no sympathy or concern about guests that need to amend a booking at this hotel...they just want the money!

Our stay was, on the whole, magnificent. There was a plumbing issue that took longer than expected to address, but the staff went out of their way to fix it and we were offered the option of a free upgrade to a junior suite (we declined because our original room had an excellent view). This is a delightful property on the Barcelona waterfront within easy walk of the city's most iconic areas.

The price I was charged was double of what it was when I stayed there, that was frustrating. I was told I would recieve the VIP perk but I didn't. The rooms were not cleaned properly. We informed them that the showerhead was broken, they never fixed it. The room was large and they provided a crib for my child but the crib was VERY old, literally had rips on it. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Was a wonderful stay. We left for a long cruise and when we return we will stay with them again and then we go to Africa so they stored our Africa luggage. We were very happy about that. We stayed in a junior suite it was very big

Check-in took almost 2 hours because our room was still being cleaned well past 3pm. They offerred us a complimentary drink to wait on the pool patio in 38 degree Celsius temperature after travelling all day...um no thank you! How about you have the room ready on time.
After waiting so long you'd think the room would be spotless, but it wasn't. The floors were dirty.
When we finally got to the pool, there were dishes everywhere. Due to the wind, umbrellas had fallen over. It was clear that staff were not cleaning up regularly. The cruises docked near the hotel and were emitting lots of disgusting smoke.
The location isn't great. Taxis will charge extra to drive in. In the morning the hotel had no available shutles to the airport and there was a line of people waiting for taxis. 3 cruise ships had docked and cruise passengers were getting most of the available taxis.
My family has stayed in many hotels in different areas of Barcelona and this was by far the worst. Never again. Recommend avoiding; there is so many better options. This place sucked.

The few staff members we spoke to were friendly. It is
Difficult to get a taxi at the hotel and some taxi drivers refused to take us. The continental breakfast does not offer much, we decided to have breakfast outside the hotel at a coffee shop next to the hotel which made excellent code con leche. There is nothing close to this hotel, we had to walk long distance to get anywhere. A cruise ship docked next to our room and had the engine running all night making it difficult to sleep with the loud noise. The rooftop view of the city was nice. The pool is very small only fits a few people. A lot of children at this hotel. The gym was the best part of the gym. The room was good size with a comfortable bed. I do not recommend this hotel for young people. The inside hallways had strong odor of cigarette.

Only complaint was that housekeeping staff were extremely loud in the hallways and nearby rooms. Lots of loud talking, yelling from one end of the hall to the other, crashing noises, doors slamming, etc. Did not make for a very peaceful environment. No sheets or pillows for the sofa bed were in the room and had to try to track those down. Front desk staff were extremely professional and helpful from start to finish. Room was quite nice and spacious for a family of 4.

This hotel is rather for business than family leisure stay due to lack of activities in the hotel & suround ereas. Had to go to the beach by taxi. Also mentioned about free botle of wine but still didn't get it...
