Barceló Malaga Hotel

Had a very enjoyable 7 day stay, room was clean and newly decorated. The roof top garden was pleasurable although the swimming pool limited if you wish to swim but ideal just to be able to cool down. My only comment was the size of the plates for breakfast which restricted the amount of food one could put on from the buffet.The best benefit of this hotel is it is adjacent to the railway station and even has a side entrance leading from the station . Regular train service to the airport which takes 20 minutes and cheap.Fun slide that kids & adults will enjoy to reception.

Had a great time.Hotel was located next to the train station.Very quiet.A 15 minute walk into town possibly a little long for little ones.The old town was beautiful.And it was close to the beach . There was definitely something for everyone.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Barcelo. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely and had excellent views. The only two things I would highlight are that the room was quite dark and it therefore wasn’t easy to find/change the light settings in the room and secondly, that the bathroom was more or less open plan with the bedroom. The hotel is about a 15/20 minute walk from the city centre of Malaga but we chose it as we had to get on an early train to get to the airport ASAP, so the location was ideal for us.

Lovely stay, had a junior suite which was big enough for x2 adults and x2 children, room was great well equipped and the Tv even had British channels 1-5 and children’s tv as well as French and German. I had requested the pull out bed be set up which it wasn’t, however a quick trip to reception rectified the issue swiftly and they even gave us some extra goodies for issue which was a pleasant surprise. The pool area was good, the pool was cold, but there was excellent 360 views across the city. The hotel is situated by a shopping centre and next to the train station and metro, not that you would notice as I couldn’t hear noise from anyone or trains just the occasional siren. The breakfast was well worth the extra pennies as well, loads of choice, fresh omlettes and pancakes as well the usual cold and hot meats etc. overall well placed hotel 15 mins from the airport with great links into town, friendly accommodating staff and nice atmosphere. Would definitely stay again and worth the money. Even got a bit of cake for my birthday which they noticed from check in details rather than asking!!
