Hotel Thomas Myeongdong

Check-in staff were very friendly, helpful with inquiries/directions and also spoke English. The location of the hotel is walking distance from the Myeongdong Walking Street with easy access to the underground shopping mall which also provides direct access to the the Lotte Mall and also close to bus lines. The hotel was surrounded by other hotels and building complexes so there really isn't much of a view from our room however the hotel amenities (breakfast, coffee shop, fitness center and laundry self service) were sufficient and met our needs. The room was larger then expected and appreciated supply of bathroom toiletries (body wash/shampoo). Housekeeping staff were also very friendly and responsive. There was also a money exchange dispenser in the hotel lobby which was very convenient. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend to our friends and family. Five nights, swopped to family suite last two nights. The latter looks fantastic, until you look under the bed (don't..) or use the modern shower, with floor leaning outwards so water flooding the bedroom. Great location, comfortable beds. English language and service level a challenge. Asked for help to call a taxi, Receptionist said that taxi company did not answer, no further offer of assistance. Forgot my clothes in our first room and had to fight hard to get them back. Receptionist #1 promised to check with cleaning services next day, but he didn't show up that day. Receptionist #2 and #3 said they would have been notified of forgotten items, so sorry... only when we started to mention theft did they agree to call manager and cleaning lady, 10 min later my clothes were delivered to our door. Distrusting guests is NOT a winning concept!
