Luxury Rooms Velika Skadarlija

Very nice hotel on in the Bohemian District of Belgrade. Stayed two different times in this hotel during the trip. Once in a junior suite and once in a standard room. Both were very large with comfortable double beds and large marble bathrooms. Mini-split air conditioners were quiet and reliable - something you really want during Belgrade summers. Staff is very friendly and eager to help. Let them arrange your taxi. It's easy to get ripped off by Belgrade taxi drivers if you don't know your way around. (Happened to us twice.) The hotel will get you a reliable metered taxi or a hired car. They even helped my wife retrieve her cellphone when she left it in one of the scammer taxis. A great full Serbian breakfast was included in our rate at a restaurant about 50 yards away. We tried two other restaurants in the area and were pleased with the prices and food quality. Expect a lot of food! The entrance can be a little difficult to find as it is just one door next to a nightclub entrance, but the actual hotel is very big. Other reviewers complained about noise, but we didn't have any problems. It was very quiet - at least compared to downtown Amsterdam. Note: The hotel is located on a walking-only street with a river rock road. It is probably not a good choice if you have accessibility problems or a large amount of luggage.

We got a family room and it lived fully up to our expectations. A little bit difficult to find at first but the location was perfect at the walking street. Had to walk 50m for the breakfast but nothing to to complain about
