This property might not look like much from the outside but I fell in love as soon as I saw my unit. I loved having a full kitchen and enjoyed my breakfast out on the balcony every morning. We had an ocean view that was just perfect. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The views from this hotel were so beautiful. This place is great for families as there is more than enough space and plenty of bathrooms. Bedding was comfortable and the shower was great.
There's a restaurant on site that is very convenient. A ten minute walk from the hotel takes you down a row of a bunch of little bars and restaurants.
This place is great. Book the trip.

We had an absolutely gorgeous redone one bedroom, two bathroom loft room with a wonderful ocean view. Would definitely request this room again. The beach is smaller than many other beaches but completely private and had no problem at any time during the day getting chairs with umbrellas. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The walk to the town of Grand Case is really only five minutes and seemed very safe and we were able to enjoy several of the upscale restaurants (french and italian) the town had to offer. Great food! My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel as it is close to town, has a nice restaurant (lunch and dinner are particularly good) and it is very convenient. There were some families at the hotel but for the most part mainly couples. I would definitely recommend this hotel and can only say that the room we had was much more redone than the photos I've seen of other rooms. I saw another room that was similar to ours but not completely redone and was still quite nice, very clean, etc. If you want privacy and not alot of noise this is the place for you! The french side of the island, in my opinion is much nicer than the Dutch side but much quieter too.

We consider the excellent staff at GCBC a part of our family. We consider the facilities a home away from home. They go the extra distance to create a lasting relationship with you. Service was top notch. With a hurricane (Dean) looming in the distance they made sure we were fully informed and reassured. We took 3 kids and they had a blast - did not want to go back. Thank you and we will see them next year again!

It was a great quiet place/area with a mix of owners and vacationeers (mostly 30+ year olds, some families). We didn't want the loudness or tacky tourism of Simpson Bay or crowds of Marigot and Phillipsburg since we're not shoppers. Great having 20+ restaurants a 10-minute walk away (Spiga and the BBQ lolos were fantastic). Yes, roads are narrow and there are no sidewalks, but it's perfectly safe if you pay attention and just walk single file when necessary; not a big deal. The Tues night street festival shouldn't be missed.

I never stay somewhere twice but we have already booked our thanksgiving family trip for next year (with additional family members) at the Grand Case Beach Club! The service was amazing, walking distance to the best restaurants on the whole island. The beach was impeccable and very private and the guests were a great mix of folks from all over the states and Europe. The suites had a wonderful mini kitchen area too and you were greeted at the reception desk with complimentary wine!

Our family, 2 adult children spent a week here. As noted esewhere, summertime is off-season, although with Hurricane Dean there was some increased tourist traffic. Most of the guests at the hotel were multiple repeats, anywhere from 5 to 20 years. That says a lot. Beach is great. A short drive to Orient beach for some bigger waves and more hustle-bustle. As a tip, the French side is clothing (at least tops) optional. Parents with younger children should be prepared. The hotel, actually condominiums, is clean and well maintained. Things happen with a minimum of fuss - we would go out for a walk, and come back to a clean unit. Oceanfront is definitely the way to go. As one acquaintence noted, 17steps to the beach. The activities desk and available water toys are ample. If you go, get them to arrange a sunset dinner cruise with the Stargazer - awesome sunset, geat food, great people. On other sites you'll read about 1 for 1 exchange rates. With the euro as high as it is, this feature is slowly dying. The absolute best food is at the Sunset cafe, right on the property. Ask to sample the coffee flavored rum. WOW!!! A car is really not necessary. We decided that the next time, no car. Shuttle to Orient beach and Marigot. Avoid Phillipsburg. Try the Octopus dive shop - again, really great people. If you eat in town, you need to remember two things - European portions (much smaller than American) and BUTTER!! No diets here. If you want a quiet, unpretentious hotel and vacation, this is the spot. All day on the beach, cocktails and superb dining. And repeat. This was the fastest 7 days I can remember.
