limited shuttle service from the hotel to the city in funchal/ airport. staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure needs were met. Would recommend to friends and family.

Great hotel and very comfortable but definitely more city ‘spa’ vibe and not super kid friendly. Also extremely dark throughout which I guess is cool but not super practical or ‘seaside holiday’. The area around the hotel is pretty nice but very limited in terms of restaurants and the hotel restaurants weren’t super amazing.

Very enjoyable stay with family. Comfortable rooms, pleasant staff, decent breakfast and a la carte, useful games room and squash court. 5 mins walk to restaurants for lunch or dinner. Nice ocean view. 45 mins from airport and 30 mins to Funchal. On quiet part of island which we preferred and hired a car. Would recommend. Hotel was a little dark and if outdoor pools were heated we could swim comfortably. Large hotel. We parked along the road for free. Weather changes a lot in Madeira and different weather in each town.
