SANA Reno Hotel

Our stay at Sana Reno Hotel was nice & quite comfortable overall. The service is good, the rooms are nice & clean & comfortable, and the air conditioning works just fine. The breakfast was also very good with a wide variety to choose from to make for a good start to your day. The hotel is conveniently located on a quiet street in what appears to be a good, safe & very walkable location. It is convenient to the airport. Our only complaint has to do with their parking garage that is really only good for micro-mini type vehicles. The lady at the reception desk did warn us that it was "tight," but I think I would have described it as almost impossible to get into. We drove our very small Toyota rental car into the garage the first night & it was a very stressful nightmare. We weren't sure if we would be able to get it back out. Drove around & around to find parking on the street after the first night because we vowed to never drive back down into the sardine can. If you know the Austin Powers movies, google "Austin Powers gets stuck for one hour." It was like that. Not kidding.

Very few room amenities. Hand soap at the sink and body soap in the tub. No face soap or lotion. No kettle in the room. The room was very tiny. Check in was fast and efficient. Breakfast was standard hotel food. I will stay here again if I have no other choice, but won't go out of my way to stay here. No reason to recommend this hotel to friends or family. A very forgettable experience.

2 day city break. Hotel was clean and breakfast selection was good. Location is excellent for sight seeing as right by the metro. Only negative was I tried to sort some childcare but it didn’t happen.

Getting to the hotel is so easy : take the red line metro from the airport and get off at San Sebastiao - you can't go wrong, it's the last stop! (journey time about 15 - 20 minutes). Go to the exit marked Av Duque Avila. The hotel is opposite the metro exit! The hotel is modern and clean, with a reasonable and well maintained swimming pool on the roof (not heated - can be a bit chilly when first getting in). Rooms are of a good size, with functional (and quiet) air conditioning. Beds were very comfy, but the separate child's bed (for when sleeping two adults and one child) not so comfy. I did miss not having any tea making equipment, though. Breakfast (self serve buffet) was excellent - classic Portugese pastries, and a cooked menu that always had scambled egg plus on different days baked beans, fried tomatoes, sausages, etc. Fresh fruit & cheeses and yoghurts also, and a tasty bread selection. A very good supermaket and shopping centre is less than 5 minutes walk away, with tempting deli food stores. A recommended hotel - less costly than many of the others, but of very good standard. Keep up the good work!
