We went on a family trip to this area to go to Fatima mainly but staying in Batalha was a lovely extra surprise. It is a lovely town. The Monastery is beautiful and Fatima was very close. This Hotel was wonderful. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again. We had adjoining rooms as we have 3 children. It was spotless, staff were lovely and the breakfast was great and the homemade cakes were an added bonus! They catered for my husband's gluten free diet. Whilst the hotel does not do lunch or dinner, there are many good restuarants in Batalha within 5 minutes walk. We were leaving at 5.30am to catch an early flight and when staff found out they made us a takeaway breakfast which could have fed us all for a week! It was a much appreciated gesture.It should really be 5 stars. The pool would be great in warmer times...
