We just completed our four night stay split between the 2 bedroom apt and a nice one bedroom in the main hotel. Everything about the place was fine but it was just missing something on the service side. I can’t put my finger on it as everyone was nice and we had no negative interactions. It just seemed the level of staff training was not up to snuff.
The apartments were the way to go as they have the sand beach pool and a large fridge which is great for a family. I found the food to be on the just okay side ordered at the main pool. It also took over an hour for a hamburger and pepperoni pizza. Not good with small kids.
We ate at the dinner buffet twice due to reasons of one of our party getting sick. It was okay. Hard to judge for me as I feel a buffet is a master of none situation where everything is okay but nothing is great.
The property could use some fleshing up with things like signs. When you leave the main hotel the markings to go elsewhere are lacking.
Childcare activity center was excellent and my kids loved it so they get high praise. Nice to be able to hide from your kids on vacation every now and the.
To sum it up, I enjoyed my stay but I would probably not stay there again. I would try to find better value for the money.

The rooms are large by American Standards. The buffet was excellent and high quality. Everyone went out of their way to be super helpful. The AC worked super well & the room. We had had a huge patio by the pool. Excellent for families and couples.

Property is away from the city centre so safe and quiet. Close to walking trails with nice views. Clean and well managed. Very family and children friendly so might not be ideal for those looking for an all adult vacation. Dining options were limited.

We stayed in the apartments which could be older than the actual hotel rooms. The room was big but very basic so 5 stars are more about the services that the resort provides (spa, gym, golf, tennis) and not the luxurious accommodation. We had a car so it was easy to reach but it is 30 min walk from Lagos-center so if you don’t have a car, you need a to prepare to walk to get to the restaurants etc. I would imagine this would be a perfect spot for families and groups. The trails and the beach nearby are soooo beautiful!

This is definitely an upscale place. Very large apartments with great living/dining area and full kitchen with washer/dryer. We had two bedrooms and the master had a king bed which was very comfortable (they called it a double because it's two twins together). The second bedroom had two separate twins which was perfect for our two boys AND a full bathroom!
It's very well located close to the water and cliffs, and the Ponta de Piedade which is a must see/walk. There is also a driving range with chipping/putting areas which was a fun way to spend some free time! 15 Euros for a full day's worth (cheaper than 2 full baskets of balls).
Also an easy drive into Lagos which was a very pretty city with nice historic walking downtown and good restaurants. I would recommend renting a car and do some day trips. We rented from Lisbon, which allowed us to go golfing one day and kayaking in Benagil another day, and also to pick up food and groceries.
A few things that were a little disappointing:
- Of the three (beautiful) pools, only one was heated and it was the adults' only pool so our kids could not swim. And since our trip was in late February and the other pool temperatures were about 10C/50F.
- There were ants in our room. Little ones, but they got into our luggage and stuff. Hopefully it's not like that in all the room, but ours was on the second floor. We stopped leaving our stuff on the ground.
- WiFi is not very fast and often cuts out.
But all in all a very nice place.

This is a 3 star property that is close to the lighthouse and beautiful beaches of Lagos. It would be good for families with young children. We booked this hotel because we thought it was a wellness retreat, but it is not. Service was an issue. I emailed the Cascade hotel via Expedia, and via the hotel website three times in advance of my travels to get dinner reservations and activity recommendations for my stay. No one responded. When I checked into the hotel, I requested dinner reservations and was not sent an email, text or phone call that any were made throughout my stay. I booked my own activities as the hotel made no recommendations or effort to do so. The door knob and lock to our apartment were difficult and did not always work properly.

Fantastic resort. It is huge so it never feels crowded. No problem getting loungers near the pool and it was never busy since they have multiple pools. The hotel area is one of the best i been to and looks like a tropical paradise, with well kept plants and trees all around the resort.
A short walk from the scenic cliffs and beaches and about a 25min walk to the main town. We had a car so easy to get around and parking is plentiful at the resort and in town.
Can't comment on food as we ate out every day as we like to try out local restaurants. Recommend Gato Pardo for Italian - great food at very cheap prices and a 10min walk away. There is also a supermarket nearby if you want to pick up supplies.
They have a free kids club where the kids can do fun activities and the parents can have a break. Big shout out to Katrina who made the kids feel so welcome.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here when in the area again. Highly recommended.

Hotel and workers was amazing l. Guest made it very uncomfortable as we have 2 little boys one 4 and one 9 months old we was told a number of time to send them to bed when eating dinner. Made us very fell like we wasn’t welcome to eat in the hotel as everyone making it uncomfortable
Room was lovely (239) but all night there is a aloud generator noise keeping the baby up. Also next door 238 towards the end of the holiday when the baby was crying they was banging on the joint door that made my wife upset.

This appears to be a good place to bring the family but be prepared to spend a fortune on the food. The gym area is terrific. Be prepared to see ants. The staff are great.
