São Rafael Atlântico

A great resort and hotel which is easily accessible from the airport and has great facilities to keep the family happy including an easy walk way down to the beach.

The room we stayed in was very spacious. It The living space was separated by a door to the bedroom which was perfect, each side had its own bathroom and tv, the kids sleep arrangements was already set up in the living space which I was happy with. The fridge was restocked, and beds made. There was no gift shop in the hotel. Only complaint would be not having the drinks included with the dinner.

The property location and grounds were so beautiful. My family loved walking the area before and after our meals exploring everywhere we could. The pool was beautiful but was alittle chilly even in late June. I appreciate that they had an indoor pool but we never used it (needed a pool cap which they chatge for). We had a top floor suite and great view. Food was always fresh, would have liked a little more variety at the buffet. We went to the gorgeous beach everyday, its literally steps away. We would definitely go back!

The property is beautiful with trails and beach. The staff felt like family; they were friendly, helpful, and engaging. I wanted to purchase the pillows, they were that comfortable. The room was spacious and elegant. The bed was nice and firm. The food was great with several eating places from which to choose. The location is within walking distance to Albufeira or there is a free shuttle. I didn't use the spa because it closed at 6:00 p.m. I will return!

The hotel is situated in very good surroundings with many Palm Trees and 3 pools, whilst we were there it wasn't so busy but the facilities are very good - I would recommend the hotel to couple as well as families and the breakfast in the morning is a Buffet and is excellent which I think will cater for everyone Also when you are there you can use the swimming pool and gym for free but you will have to pay to use the Spa which has the sauna, steam room, one large pool with Jacuzzi and a hot tub - think will cost you 10 Euros per day per person - along with this they don't tell you that if you have hair you will have to wear swimming caps men, woman and children or you cannot use the pool or spa and if you don't have a swimming cap you need to buy one for 5 Euros each They have a beach which you can access from the hotel they may say its a private beach - thats not true every beach in Portugal has access to the public which means no beaches are private - also on the photos you may think the beach is on the door step of the hotel - its not its quiet a walk down 5 minute walk depends how fast you walk and you have a uphill walk back Overall the hotel is very good you will need to get taxis's if you don't like walking up and down hills but most place you will go are around 7 to 10 Euros taxis ride away, they do have 3 shuttle's going to Alberfira Old Town and the have 3 pick ups morning afternoon and late afternoon - Enjoy your trip if you choose this hotel because I did Arun

Great 5 star hotel where the staff can't do enough for you, welcoming and will go the extra mile to help. Its a big hotel with 3 pools two for adults and one smaller for children. The Spa is great and huge providing you with top facilities and best of all the beach is 7 mins away with a restaurant on the beach front well worth a visit. The hotel itself is about a 10 min max drive from anything so you do have to get cabs everywhere but I think this pays off as your in a nicer environment than being on the strip. The food isn't the cheapest as we have the Breakfast option however as your 10 minutes from the two you can go out to eat every night and the hotel provide a mini coach to and and from.
