Our second stay, last time was 2016. Property has been improved but at a cost, a big increase in food and beverage prices. Sadly our rooms were not as good as previous and the breakfast was not as good. Far too expensive for a buffet breakfast at 900 pesos per person even children who only eat a piece of toast pay 900. With no alternative due to being locked in a compound then I would suggest you take the billboard packages at booking to save some money.

This is a very cosy hotel located right on the beach. It has several pools and lots of fun for kids. The restaurant had delicious foods and great service. I. The night time there is a bar with dart, ping pong and a pool table. Our room was nice size and clean. The only negative was a lot of mosquitoes.

This hotel is great value for the price. You can of course spend a lot more for a hotel room in Mactan. However the staff at Costabella are super friendly and cater for your every need. You won't find better staff in alternative more expensive hotels. We would particularly like to mention Kenneth, Joshua & Rhoden at Marina who gave us exceptional service. Other positives. Private beach so no hawkers trying to sell you stuff. Calm waters to swim in at high tide. 2 large swimming pools to use at low tide! Reception moved us when we were unhappy with original room. Thanks! Nurse at clinic very helpful with our health concerns. All in all, a beautiful, quiet, family owned resort. We returned home relaxed and happy!

Beautiful hotel but the pier beach area doesn’t look like you can swim in it. Sucks because the resort next door you can see all the people on the beach and it looks fun. Our water would turn off and on so that sucked and out TV remote wasn’t working which was inconvenient. They have a free shuttle to the malls in cebu City but you’re on your own when you need to return which was about $10 in Us via Grab. The views were great if you have a high floored room and it’s super kid friendly. The pool was nice but my kids said the slide was too fast. The food is decent too at the main restaurant as I didn’t try the other restaurants.

If you are traveling with people that you want to spend time with this is the worse hotel you want to end up in. Amor and Erika seriously don't know how to work a front desk, they make up numbers on their own to charge you extra, and lie to you that they called and spoke with Rio the manager. But when Amor is confronted about the charges she told us she said she asked Erika which isn't a Manager. We traveled as a family from Los Angeles to find one of our rooms is on the 1st floor of one building and the other room they put us in is across the resort on the 6th floor. I don't know what's the point of having Rio as Manager because she needs some problem solving skills and teach front desk staff not to lie to hotel guests. Will never again stay at this resort or recommend to anyone.
