I found the staff cold and not helpful at all. We caught a final flight travelling with a child and the kitchen closed 10 minutes after we arrived. My partner had to walk to a gas station in the rain to get a pie from a gas station not the best meal for a child. I found for the price we were paying the staff would at least be a little more accommodating truly disappointing

We really enjoyed the convenience of staying at the Rydges while visiting family in Wellington. Our room was lovely and warm, the bed comfortable and the staff accomodating. We’ll definitely stay again.

loved the comfortable bed and pillows the restaurant had terrible service, had to find a waitress to order dinner as we were forgotten about, took 1 hour to receive meal and they weren't that busy. meal was expensive for what i received, childs meal was worth its price.
