I have stayed here a number of times now with my family and it is awesome. Big rooms, clean and tidy, comfy beds and walking distance to a number of food venues and beach. Will definitely come again

Very spacious rooms. Neat and clean facility with separate outdoor dining area, which was quiet handy for a family with two kids. Staff was very helpful, onsite secure parking and laundry facilities! Across the street from beach, playground, plenty of dining options. Highly recommend.

The beds were so comfortable and soft. Heating was great in winter. Balcony view of the beach was beautiful also with the sound of the waves breaking at night when it was quiet. Perfect location with the beach and playground across the road. Sky TV had a great selection of channels. 2 beds were perfect for our family. Daughter didn’t want to leave

Great sized family room with a small kitchenette. Perfect location with lovely cafes and restaurants close by and very friendly staff. Free laundry facilities were an added bonus!

This is a great hotel for families given that the rooms have a fridge and microwave, which was handy when preparing bottles and food for our 14-month old baby. You can request a ‘baby kit’ (at an additional cost), which includes a cot and a high chair). We personally felt that these items should be provided for free as we’ve never been asked to pay for them at other properties we’ve stayed at. The hotel is located across the street from the beach and a playground, which is great for entertaining the kids. There is also free onsite parking and a BBQ Grill. The restaurant next door to the hotel is fab and serves delicious food for breakfast lunch and dinner. You can also order their food for breakfast and have it delivered to your room.

The service of this hotel was absolutely appalling. I’m a kiwi living in Australia and has returned home to visit family. These foreigners running the hotel give a bad name to kiwi service!! I booked the day of check in as was driving up from Wellington. Their website or my confirmation did not state when reception closed. I called FIVE times (incl their emergency contact number) on the drive up to check when reception closed as I knew we were going to arrive late. We were about an hour away and they rang me 30 mins before check in to ask if I was still needing the room. I said that I had rang five times to check when they close and no one picked up. He got defensive about that and was really rude. After checking out I realised I’d been charged twice (or thought I had) so I called them to question in and he got very defensive about that too and hung up on me!!! I tried calling straight back and the voice message has switched to their out of office message when I know they’re still open. A hotel that clearly can’t take feedback or customers questioning something. I’ll never stay here again and would recommend everyone avoid it! And their tv was broken, when I advised him he said “oh yes we’re meant to replace it”
