Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam

Very nice place, lobby left much to be desired. I liked the bar area but no where really to sit and chill with family. And beds were not the greatest I’ve slept in at a 4 star hotel. Great location to train station.

Had booked a room with pull out bed for children, and helpfully when we arrived (11:45pm) 2nd bed was fully made up. Breakfast buffet was also open until late morning, and all staff were very efficient.

We chose this hotel because the proximity to central station and because it had spa facilities. Being this close did have its downfall b/c it was very noisy all hours of the day, into the early morning hours. The streets and the hotel itself has wooden floors so if you're not on the top floor you can hear everything above you. The room was large and spacious - we did get upgraded - so lovely but we had to stay with our child right next to us on a pull out sofa. In Paris they provided a separate tv room with a pocket door for privacy. That was great! The room itself was beautiful, modern decor, funky furniture, automatic pad lighting controls - we especially loved the motorized curtains & maid privacy. Super cool. The room light was controlled entirely on one switch - the designer must not have a lot of real life experience because there were many issues of it not in the correct position or no task lighting in particular areas needed. I.E. the coffee/bar area had no separate lighting only when you turn on all the room lights could you see, not great if you don't want to wake the sleeping family. same in the bathroom, not well positioned lighting or double outlets available, that was a real pain especially if 2 people getting ready or you need to plug in multiple tools... The spa is lovely, pool sauna, shower and gym facility. The lounge bar is excellent although our service was slow even when not busy. I had a few items dry-cleaned which came to 56e - total rip off.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The staff was wonderful and incredibly helpful. The rooms were very nice.

Our stay at Park Plaza exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay here again. I was hesitant to book because of its location but I am so glad we did. It was literally right across from Amsterdam Centraal which was convenient for Eurostar travels with 2 kids. The hotel staff were all helpful from the moment we walked in with concierge greeting us to help with luggage and the front desk staff making check-in super easy. We arrived a day later than expected due to a train strike and we thought Expedia notified them but they didn't. Thankfully, they were still able to give us our room for the remainder of our stay. We had a room with a view of the canal which the kids loved. Our bathroom had an amazing soaking tub as well as a shower. Breakfast was wonderful and had plenty to choose from. The only negative was the noise in the evening but that's to be expected in a bustling city and being right by the busy train station. Despite that we would recommend Park Plaza to anyone wanting to stay in Amsterdam.

Loved using the pool and sauna after long sightseeing days. Very comfy and big room for a parent with two teenage kids. Could be tricky for families with pram as corridors are narrow and there are steps to navigate.

We had a difficult issue with our Expedia reservation, and one of the check-in staff and her manager went above and beyond to help us resolve it. We could have asked for nicer people with the patience and resolve to get it fixed. Also, our initial room with some stairs that were good for us, and the staff immediately transferred us to a different room. The hotel is in an excellent location across the canal from the train station, and it is in heart of all of the eating and shopping activities. It was a great choice for us and the rest of our family that was traveling with us.

Enjoyed our stay. Property was well maintained and executive room was spacious and comfortable for my family of 3. Loved all the details (console for managing the lighting-shades-AC, robe and slippers, toiletries, and availability of coffee and tea in room). The location was great and very convenient to train station. Concierge was very helpful with directions to ferry and navigating the train station when we were departing to leave to Paris. Wish our stay had been longer. I’d stay again!

Great location and super friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms and good facilities. Loved the bar! The gym was good and nice option to have the pool but there were too many children in it when I visited so couldn’t really swim. Paid for breakfast on one day, it was quite expensive but there was a good choice of food. Would definitely stay again.
