Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - City Hall, an IHG Hotel

The reception staff were very welcoming and always happy to help us in any way throughout our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a very comfy bed and we weren’t aware of any noise throughout the night. There was a small area in which you could hang some clothes, but no drawers or storage space to unpack our cases ( not really a problem for a couple of nights). Breakfast was a lovely selection of cereals, pastries & cakes, rolls, cheese& ham, fruit, yoghurts, boiled eggs and freshly made pancakes. The breakfast room did get busy - you needed to pre book a time slot- but we were always able to get seated. On one occasion we did have to have 2 tables of 2, rather than a table of 4, but that was because some couples had sat at the larger tables. On the morning that we had an early start we were able to preorder a packed breakfast. The hotel was well situated, about a 15 minute walk from Centraal Station and within easy walking distance of the main sights. The hotel did have a small bar and seating area, but more suited to couples rather than larger groups or families. All in all a very comfortable hotel and a perfect base from which to explore Amsterdam for a couple of days.

Every employee was wonderful! We felt like we were with loving family. The location was fantastic. Yes, one little tall shelving unit would have been nice so we could have emptied a suitcase BUT not a necessity. We would ALL return! Thanks a million!

This Hotel was 5 Star all the way. From the automatic entrance to the friendly staff. The room was perfect for the short stay traveler. The bathroom was clean and the eco friendly shower and efforts to conserve water was evident. I also liked the option to notify housekeeping staff if we needed the towels changed or room cleaned. Another way of conserving energy and water. The breakfast was all you needed to start your day, with fresh hot bread ,and a variety of yogurts, fresh fruit, cereal's , cheeses, meats, pancakes, eggs, juices and coffees. Way to Go Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
