HM Playa del Carmen

We had an excellent stay here ! The rooms were large and cleaned excellently every day, the staff were all really friendly and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty with fresh eggs served to taste which were great! It was a great base for us. 5 minute walk to 5th Ave and plenty out so that it was so quiet on a night time! The waiting staff work really hard here! Fabian who we saw every morning always went out of his way to speak to our children and we were always checked on to see if we needed anything. The bar staff also work really hard and always smile and say hello! It really was a perfect 2 week stay! Thank you to everyone!

It was a comfortable and quick stay, I like this place is close to the beach really family driven , safe and has late check in as well breakfast included, everyone is very kind and delivers good service. I'll stay again there.

HM Playa del Carmen was recommended to us by a family member. It is on a great location, 2 blocks away from the long strip of 5th Avenue which is an amazing area with everything from shops, restaurants, bars, beach, malls and a great night life but close enough to walk to the hotel but far enough that it was quiet, I was able to walk with the locals, go to the nearby supermarket to buy water or other needs. It is huge too! The property had very nice staff that welcomed us, but make sure you read all the paperwork they give you, if not you will be surprised of fees to pay for a lost key or other regulations which is in the small print (which happens at any hotel even in the US). At the front desk they were very nice and there is someone that works there as well to sell excursions to amazing places that we enjoyed very much. I felt more comfortable buying from the person inside the hotel than the hundreds of people trying to sell me something on 5th Avenue or at the airport. The room was clean and simple, we had a city view and it was very nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather (they are not private). The pool was beautiful and clean. The buffet food was AMAZING, I woke up early to eat the food that is more typical to the area, which I enjoyed so much!(I don’t want food I get in my local diner). We were so busy every day that even though the bed was firmer than our own, we slept fine. Leaving they began construction of an elevator so it will be better for our next visit!

Entrance is nice. Front desk is staff excellent! When parking you have to wait for attendant. No elevator. The room was small. AC worked. Fan made a racket. Gym didn't open until 7:00. Hot inside. Elliptical was really hard on level 1. Treadmill was working, but you couldn't reduce your speed. No towels. Pool area was gorgeous. Pool opened at 8:00. We were woken at 8:00 to loud children shrieking. You could hear everything, even the sound of the broom sweeping the floor next door. Towels nice. Shower had low pressure.
