It’s a 3 star hotel. First night was rough but the staff were friendly. Staff seemed interested. Second day we relocated to another room which had functional air conditioning for the scorching heat but TV had issues- was a downgrade. 7 nights with lil kids was good for the price, We’ll stay again. Also, use an Uber or the other hailing app, don’t let the hotel call you a cab.

Well, here we go...from the moment we checked in with Gerarcio until the moment we left (Isabel hugged me and kissed me on the cheek) our stay was INCREDIBLE. The staff / the team treated us like we were the ONLY GUESTS in their hotel...I was 'moved' ...not impressed...'moved'. These are real people. Isabel treated me and my room like she would a family member. I have to tell you, as I am typing in the comfort of my office in Seattle I had to stop, take a deep breath...as I think about my new friends. Last thing...THIS was our FIRST stay @ Emperador. I will not change and anyone who asks me where to stay....it will be EMPERADOR ! Randy T

Beach-side location offers a beautiful view. We stayed in a junior suite for three weeks. The veranda has an outdoor kitchen with a working gas stove. Be aware the bathroom we had was small and wouldn’t work for someone large or with mobility issues. Good access to the beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Convenient to restaurants and entertainment. A very good 3-star hotel.

Poor management. Check in was supposed to be at 3:00 and they made us wait for our room until 4:30. I asked for some kind of comp and the manager offered nothing, not even apology. I asked if he can at least get us into one of the restaurants for dinner and he said he couldn't. Not helpful at all. The buffet is one of the worst. The area is dark, pealing floor paint, and is hot and smells like sweat and sewer. Horrible. The only two good things are the kiddie pool and night shows.
