I was there for 3 days and 2 night. I had to move both nights because of malfunctions. First I got locked out of my room after they just went to fix the phone and tv because the phone wouldn’t work and tv had signal. Second night Got back from a family gathering and A/C not working had to walk across with suitcases and other stuff we had in room again to other side of parking lot. Both says happed when we left and I had to argue with girl in front and management to be able to get a different room. They wanted me to stay in room with no a/c until it hit fixed. They don’t believe me it wasn’t working. I come from Chicago to stay and we had to go thru trouble everyday we where there.

We had a good experience staying in this hotel. Check in was fast, our suite room was spacious and clean. There was a wedding and a baby shower celebration in the courtyard which was a little loud in our two night stay. My only complain was that there are no elevators. If you’re handicap or have a disability, make sure you ask for the 1st floor rooms.

I rented a room for my family to stay in a quiet hotel. We checked in on Friday afternoon. The staff didn't seem friendly, but I didn't bother me, until on Saturdat night. On Saturday there was a wedding event going on the grass area. At 11:40pm, I called reception and I asked what time the party was going to end because my family and I need it to sleep. I informed him that I needed to wake up early. He told me that the party was ending at 2am. He told me that there was a notice about this event at the lobby and in my room. He was really rude and seem bother. I never received a notification. Also, the windows are not noise proof. It was literaly like I was outside in the party. I wish I would have known about this event at the time I booked this hotel. I'm not staying at this hotel ever again.

Always have stayed at Calafia Hotel when visiting family in Mexicali. The service is great. The staff is great. Only thing I've noticed this time was the upkeep of the pool needs a little taking care off. A little TLC goes a long the way. Other than that, great place, secure and close to bars, restaurants.

The place looked nice, my restroom door did not close whatsoever. I work in hospitality maintenance and automatically knew that the door needed trimming or they replaced it from another room and the size was not correct. The front desk skinny girl with glasses ( I wish I got her name) was not very communicative about letting me go look for our lost prescription glasses after we checked out. I asked if I can go look and she says the key holder is going to look then I asked if I can go help look and she didn’t respond. Other than that everyone else was nice and the property was nice. I would suggest that girl take a course in CUSTOMER SERVICE or PEOPLE COMMUNICATION SKILLS. They also had an even the night we checked in, it was a wedding. I did not mind the loud noise at all but if you have little kids or mind the noise. I suggest you don’t go there.
