Situated in a central location near attractions like the national museum, republic plaza, fish market, and the president's palace, it's perfect for a quick walking tour, which can be completed in under 30 minutes. The fish market, in particular, offers an intriguing stingray watchout, providing a unique experience not commonly found elsewhere in the Maldives. Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance of Rasfannu beach, although it's worth noting that the beach is relatively small. There are also several good eateries nearby, such as Seagull, Lemongrass, and D'Olive, as well as the convenience of Seagull supermarket. The family room at Somerset Hotel is spacious, with the staff accommodatingly arranging the sofa bed for the kids. Late checkout was offered, which was greatly appreciated due to our late flight. While the breakfast provided is basic, it is sufficient. Overall, we were pleased with our stay at Somerset Hotel and would consider returning in the future.

Staff gave us a hard time upon check in even when we had booked a higher priced family room for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). They wanted to charge us for kids. Zero recognition of vip status. Very overpriced for what it offers.

We arrive with family 3 room but they didnt give us close to each other we asking but they dint care. Also wifi dont work and ask for help it took them couple to fix for us. We wont be back . Stff is rude

I stayed at property recently and was very happy with service provided by staff. They were very considerate towards my family as I had senior citizens traveling with me. I would highly recommend hotel. I got room upgrade and all staff was very prompt and courteous. I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking to stay in city and getting feel for Male city.

Pleasant stay for 1 night before transferring to resort. Came as a family with different flight arrivals to Male, hotel staff was very friendly and arranged free pick up twice. Hotel manager made all the necessary arrangements for a hassle free domestic transfer to resort.
