JA Manafaru

This is a stunning property and is set up brilliantly for a relaxing stay, with gorgeous settings and lovely staff. Our host Rafu was exceptional - both polite, helpful and great with our toddler. The one area to improve is to be more proactive with arranging guest transfers. The island is located at the edge of the Maldives so transfers are less frequent and can be unsociable hours; we would have appreciated better upfront planning or at least notification of potential timing challenges. All in all, do pick this hotel as it is fabulous but ensure you know your plans in detail for transfers to avoid a bumpy set of discussions

We all went with no idea of what we were going to get as relatively new resort (US 12m invested!) Its a great place with lots of facilities that you would not expect. Great diving and watersports and Spa etc. My two teenagers loved it as there were pool tables, table tennis , big gym, a room with massive screens with xbox and PS4 racing games all set up in an area dedicated to playing "The Chill Zone", we didn't have young kids but the Cool Zone next door had its own pool and play areas for them. Every villa had bikes to ride around the resort and everyone was very friendly. We asked for a tour of the Chef's garden which was remarkable. We ate in all but one of their 4 evening restaurants and the food was fantastic. Our favourite was the beach tables at the Ocean Grill where they did all sorts of Meats and fresh fish. We all became qualified PADI divers whilst we were at the resort as we wanted to do something as a family which was great and Bea and I-Man were great instructors. We also did lots of chilling and reading books etc and really loved the place .

An amazing resort for couples and families. Lots of food options, activities and entertainment within the resort. Great service from friendly staff members and from your dedicated resort host. If you choose to stay at this resort - stay in a water villa! They are absolutely beautiful.

JA Manafaru surpassed all our expectations with this beautiful desert island offering so much to us & our teenage children to pack an amazing 10 day stay. We didn't even find time to cover all the activities available including a private BBQ on the beach, a dip in the infinity pool under the stars or sun on the private water villa deck, Cycling to/from breakfast, Snorkelking on the house reef, sailing the catameran, Paddle Boarding, Scuba Diving Deep Sea Fishing, Water Skiing , the occasional visit to the Gym to neutralise some guilt from consumption of the great quality & variety of food on offer, playing Table Tennis & Tennis & Joining a sunset champagne Dolphin Cruise and even hitting an eco friendly golf ball to feed the fish. A fantastic family holiday and thats from someone who doesn't generally recommend.
