Great hotel, with large facilities, a good breakfast, many pools, and a private beach. Free shuttle to Aqaba.
The only problem is that the only pool that was heated is too deep for small kids.

Very good service, clean in general, very quiet, family oriented, very friendly staff beside a few ( smile for god sake)
Management lacks professionalism dealing with few issues. Expect extra charges from the hotel if you have children 12

Run down and poorly managed.
The room was tired with a number or hinges and fixtures not properly attached, this and the dented table gave a generally shoddy impression.
I’ve stayed in mövenpick hotels before and I’m aware that they tend to be a bit tired but with great service and fantastic food. This is not the case in their Tala Bay branch.
For dinner, we had to wait for half an hour to get a table for two, a frustrated manager directed us to a messy table full of leftovers from the previous guests. A member of staff then directed us to a somewhat cleaner table. We were both in shock as to the messy state of the restaurant. It looked more like a McDonald’s during a kid’s birthday party.
At 8pm, most of the food was already finished, with kids running freely and the noise level very high. Options for dinner were ‘buttered vegetables’ and hummus that had already formed a crust.
No information was given and staff were literally running back and forth and managers yelling at them, with no chance of ordering anything.
My partner who is of African descent was repeatedly challenged if she was actually staying in the hotel.
For breakfast, her coffee order was ignored by several waiters and managers. Self service offerings were very limited and service appalling.
If you enjoy a mix of macdonalds birthday party and kindergarten without management with a hint of racism, then this is the place for you. If not, I recommend you look for something else.

As a family, we were looking for a secluded and relaxing stay so the property location was absolutely spot on for our choice, having situated just off city limits at the beautiful Tala Bay overlooking the mountains. The resort is massive with great amenities catering for all the family, including kids (there is a kids pool, adjoining a nice and well stocked kids play room). The staff on ground (Camila, Tiger, Lydia to name some) are amazing in engaging the kids and even the family. There are 3 pools and equal jacuzzies however 2 of the jacuzzies were broken and the one functioning was adult only so was a huge let down. Another issue was the food choices- we opted for breakfast and dinner with our booking however the menu wasn't really 'multi-cuisine' and vegetarian friendly so most of my family members (who are vegetarians) were left with minimal choice of food. A big thank you to the Indian chef (Pawan) who came to our rescue and was very kind to cook us some nice vegetarian meals throughout our stay.
Some other minor things include missing route signs across the property as it is easy for the elderly to get lost or take a longer route than usual to reach places.
Overall a big thank you to Movenpick team for a pleasant stay. I would rate it 3.5/5 just because of the food and broken amenities, otherwise definitely recommend a go. Another reason for it being one of only 2 resorts on that secluded route :)

Hotel is nice and clean, however reception staff lacked to tell us the full potential of the hotel. There is a free transfer to aquba and happy hour which we found out about on the last night. There was mis-communication on if there are any heated pools. Some staff said the north pool is, according to the manager it’s only the kids pool. The pools are all freezing.
The buffet seemed to lacked pace, things ran out and took a while to replenish and if you went too early or late not everything was there.
The Shezan lunch staff were very good and extremely good with kids and the kids club at the hotel is also very fun, some of the night activities could have lasted a little longer. Overall the hotel would have exceed expectations if things were communicated better.
