The service and feel of this hotel are nothing short of exceptional. Bordering on a very large garden, the proximity to Waseda University also means that there are a lot of cost conscious food options nearby, when traveling with children. Every little thing at this hotel is thought of and executed before you even realize that you wanted it. The luggage is transported to your room on check in and from it on check out as a matter of practice. There is complimentary transportation every 30 minutes to the train and subway station. The breakfast service is amazing (and surprisingly inexpensive as a hotel guest room adf-on).

What i didn’t like was the limitation of vegetarian food. Most foods that did not have meat were cooked in meat broth. Also the rooms we had where my children were set up all the power outlets worked only when the lights were on making it hard to sleep while charging our phones.

Modern hotel with an old world Japanese charm. RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo has all the amenities one would expect in an international hotel chain but with a distinctly Japanese touch. The garden and the lounge overlooking it is beautiful and the Cellar Bar as cozy and sophistication as any. Even the struggles of some of the junior front office staff with the English language are overcome with the help of other staff members. They try their best to provide good service - all one can ask for. The rooms are bigger than most 4 star hotels in Tokyo. The shuttle service to Takadanobaba is useful. One can connect to anywhere from that station.

Nice Entrance. This hotel is not meant for travellers. Inefficient staff. My wife is Japanese and asked for a taxi to the airport and to make it one that would take our luggage. The receptionist had know idea and started to draw a picture of a taxi to see if would be ok!! No scales to weigh luggage! Waseda University is nearby and the whole hotel seems to cater to families who are visiting students. Not knowledgable staff in any department, no idea of local buses.

My room type is junior suite and so is very spacious, even toilet is big. It is a bit old but clean. Staff are nice but English level is not sufficient to communicate effectively. Location is not the best but can be compensated a bit by taking the hotel shuttle which runs every half an hour but the latest is 9 sth pm and the earliest is 8 am. If u want to go out early and come back late, maybe is not as convenient. Hv to go to Takadanobaba station to take hotel shuttle which takes 10 mins to the hotel. In general, it’s nice.

What a GREAT DEAL. The total cost for 4 nights at the Rihga Royal Hotel in Tokyo Including a breakfast that will get you through the day without lunch. Was so inexpensive I’ll bet you can’t guess the cost. It was less than 1 dinner for 5 at a McDonalds in Manhattan. Moreover you aren’t taking a step down for this price. You are being catered to in a manner I’ve only experienced for 500 per night in the US. Huge rooms, wonderful staff, spotlessly clean, incredible views and centrally located. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Only downside is they lack even one fluent English speaking staff and most of their materials are in Japanese only. Google translate will assist but It can be cumbersome. Fortunately that was not a problem for us. My broken Japanese and their broken English allowed us to communicate. Put your family and friends there without hesitation. (null)
