The staff speaks little to no English. With my zero Japanese skills, check in was a nightmare. The hotel is dated and old from the 1990s. However, the building is well maintained. My room was dirty and was full of dust bunnies, which I discovered this when I put two backpacks above the shelf on the television. Breakfast was fine except but the staff doesn’t speak English. I tried to order the pancakes too in addition to my breakfast. They charged me for it and then neglected to give me eggs. You can’t clarify anything because they don’t speak English. However, they will repeatedly go over the charge for pancakes three times. If you have children, they are also not allowed to use the pool. The highlight is the concierge. She was the only person in the entire staff that speaks English. She will go above and beyond to help you. I think that this place is fine if you or the staff can communicate. Not being able to communicate means having no relationship as a customer and hotel. It was rigid and uncomfortable environment to stay in, which is not what you want when you go on a vacation.

Hote is right next to trains. Every morning, I woke up from train noise at 3 AM. The decor is something out of the 1990s wannabe Bellagio hotel. My room was filthy. I made the mistake of putting my bag above the shelf in the tv. Dust coated my bags. The bed mattress had no 360 degree-waterproof cover. Everything is old but maintained somewhat well. This is a Japanese hotel. They are not skilled in Western hospitality. They are rigid. I asked to substitute pancakes for eggs at the free breakfast. I basically wanted the kids breakfast offering. They charged me $10 for the substitution. I said fine but also asked for the eggs that came free. I got the pancakes but no eggs. Three staff members were so worked up about my variation that they forgot the rest of my order like my bringing daughter's milk. The concierges are wonderful. They really try their best to help you. However, the front desk is a complete nightmare to deal with. The front desk staff has less than a rudimentary grasp of English. I get it. I don't speak Japanese but Tokyo is an international city. Having a conversation with the front desk was an exercise in pure frustration because I realized no one understood me. I would spend a lot of time dealing with irrelevant issues that were not part of my question. The concierges are the only ones that try to help you. I really liked them. They are super nice ladies. I also like the Nepal bellhop. He was super kind.

The Daiichi Hotel Tokyo Hotel was amazing. We had a family vacation to Japan and wanted to be sure to stay in a nice hotel as comfort is part of the vacation, right?!! From the moment we arrived, all staff warmly welcomed us in English and it was easy to navigate the property. The bell staff and concierge were very useful on recommendations in the city. We had a suite on the 20th floor with amazing views of the city and the Tokyo Tower. Our room was nice and spacious, to the comfy beds and little kitchenette area- we loved the refrigerator that was daily stocked with goodies and drinks. The bathroom needed better caulking by the shower door as it was falling apart and started to show signs of slight mold. The breakfast buffet was yummy and we enjoyed all the choices. We also eat at Teppan Yaki for an upscale Kobe/Waygu steak experience. Dinner was very yummy but overpriced. Overall, Daiichi was one of the best hotels we ever stayed at and it just made our first visit to Japan more memorable and great. We will definitely be back, thank you to all the staff- great job!

The service was truly very amazing! It was my first time in Japan with my family and the entire staff at this hotel were top tier. Extremely kind! Helpful! And you can just see how determined they are to make sure your experience is one to remember! We’ll definitely be booking with them in the future!

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the service was amazing. It has a dedicated entrance to the metro station, which was convenient. The only disappointment was that the pool was for guests over 18, so we were not able to use it while traveling with our child.

Stayed here for the Tokyo Marathon. Perfect location close to finish line. Hotel was clean and upscale. Slightly outdated and room was pretty tight. Close to a lot of restaurants although not very kid friendly, but 7-11, Family Mart and Lawson’s a block away.

Hotel was well maintained and staffed personnel who were multi lingual. Although checkin was at 3pm, we arrived very early due to our flight. The hotel made efforts to bring our checkin forward to allow my family to rest. The rooms were kept to a very standard. They were clean, well presented and provided all the amenities you would want including complimentary water and a stocked mini bar. The hotel boosted a European design with a large number of restaurants, multiple breakfast options and a bar. They provided a cot for our little one on request. It was wooden and in good condition with a good mattress so my daughter was comfortable and slept well. We stayed there on two occasions during our trip, we were looked after well and would definitely return if we visited Tokyo again.

Staffs are very helpful and friendly with respectful culture. Near the train station so convenient to ride to the center of Ginza. We have the best vacation in Tokyo with the service at this hotel. Children friendly, highly recommended for family with young children.
