Mitsui Garden Hotel Otemachi

Very convenient location, 250m from subway line and 600m from train station. 7/11 and family mart 100m away also. Great and helpful staff always attentive and good amenities available for guests. Only feedback would be that the carpets in the rooms could use a proper professional clean, otherwise rooms were great!

We enjoyed our 7-day long stay in the Mitsui. It is a family-friendly Hotel, with a machine check-in and small reception area. There is an option for express breakfast up to 9.30 which suited us fine once we got over misunderstandings due to language barriers. After 3 pm guests can benefit from free coffee/tea facilities and some essential toiletries at the reception. Extremely clean. The twin-bed rooms are spacious with a good size bathroom fitted with those super-hygienic electric toilets. Although Kanda station is generally listed as the closest Metro to the Hotel, this is grossly inaccurate. Otemachi station is only 5 mins walk (on the way to Tokyo station, itself only 15 mins walk), where 3 major lines can be accessed. Once we discovered this we were very pleased as Kanda station area is rather seedy and further away. The Metro network seems daunting at first but, again, once you work out the system is based on both letters and numbers rather than names for the stations, the service is very quick and efficient as one would expect from Japan.
