Everything about this property was amazing! From the staff, to the food, to the vibe of the hotel, the rooftop, the comfort of the room, location…you name it…my family of 4 (2 teenage daughters) loved our stay here! I dream about the Asiago bagels and now on a mission to find ones like those here in the US. I don’t think anything will even come close. The only thing we didn’t like was that we had to leave.

Beautiful hotel with excellent attention to detail, no too big and not too small. The bakery and cafe in the lobby were a huge hit with our whole family - recommend the potato buns and oat milk lattes! Rooftop bar was gorgeous with an excellent selection of drinks, great atmosphere. The location of the hotel is not bad - relatively easy to get all around if you are willing to walk a bit. 8-9 min walk to the subway line (1 transfer to get to Kyoto station), or 15-20 min walk to the main part of the Gion district. Clean, large rooms.

This hotel is perfect for any stay in Kyoto. Well-located (close to Gion for walking and a subway stop for anywhere else) and is the perfect balance of trendy and family friendly. It almost feels like an accessible Nobu, which was just what we wanted. Had a crib ready for us and while there were other kids there, felt more like a trendy young hotel than a family hotel which is just what we wanted. Couldn't recommend more!

This is just a perfect hotel in every regard. Not just location but the hotel was so welcoming and had a great feel to it. Luxurious but not pretensious. Totally cool “vibe” but also homey. Loved the meditation room. And breakfast was amazing. Beyond amazing. Everyone in our family thought it was perfect. Only place to stay in Kyoto. The best. And great value too.

We travelled to Kyoto with our 8 year old daughter - the check in was easy, the room was a good size for a family of 3, the hotel in the restaurant was delicious, and the staff was outstanding. The location was very central and close to a subway station. The design of the hotel was modern and comfortable. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. There is nothing we would have changed!
