True ski in ski out property! Ski lifts right outside hotel door. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for 6 nights. In room washing machine was super helpful since we were traveling with kids. Close to restaurants and shopping. Hotel provided transport from hotel to Hirafu Welcome center which is where our shuttle bus from Chitose Airport dropped us off at.

5 out of 5 stars

Had an incredible stay at The Maples Niseko with my family. This apartment-like resort deserves all the praise: 1. Perfect location, just a few minutes' walk to the base of Hirafu, where we had our ski lessons. The street is lined with plenty of restaurants and shops. 2. The resort staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Kayne, Brendon, and others who went above and beyond, offering food recommendations and even helping with carrying our skis to the lockers. 3. The collaboration with Rhythm Ski Gear rental is fantastic. The pick-up and drop-off service for ski equipment rental made our experience even more convenient. 4. The rooms are nothing short of amazing – beautiful, spacious, and fully equipped with household amenities like a personal washing machine with dryer and kitchen facilities. It truly felt like a home away from home. 5. Even on our departure day, the resort exceeded our expectations by sending us to the train station when the taxi company was fully booked. The Maples is hands down one of the best vacation accommodations we've experienced. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back on our next visit to Niseko!

2 out of 5 stars

My family stayed in Maples for 5 nights in a 3 bedroom for its convenient ski in ski out location with full kitchen. Unfortunately, even though we expected some hiccups in a new hotel, the level of service and amenities provided are subpar and underwhelming. It is not worthy of its premium cost. First of all, the 3 bedroom is more like a 2 + 1, with the smallest room not even enough to house 2 futons. 1/4 of my futon is squashed against the thin sliding door, which we have to lift up everytime when opening the door to avoid the horrible scraping sound. Secondly, there are 2 rooms with thin and slightly transparent sliding doors, providing little privacy for people who need to change for their silhouettes can be seen. There are also no locks provided for such doors. Thirdly, housekeeping is horribly sloppy. For 6 nights, we were provided with 2 housekeeping services. The first housekeeping looked like our rooms were barely touched, with no replenishment of toiletries and futons not made up. I've have had much superior housekeeping services in 3 star hotels in Japan so this reflects poor training. Fourth, the quality in hospitality training among the staff is inconsistent and lean towards being inexperienced overall. A particular distasteful incident occured also due to a lack of customer-centric attitude. 3 days before checking out, we requested at the reception for late check out - and the working personnel verbally agreed, mentioning that it wouldn't be a problem.
