This location was amazing, the staff was so nice, and the room was fantastic. This is a 5 out of 5 star property. Areas for improvement are: we were in floor 2 and the bar could be heard well into the night especially on Saturday night and the gym was broken while we were there (no machines would power on). The equipment in the gym is super old and not up to the standards you would expect for a nice American hotel. Adding newer and more machines to the gym like a peloton would go a long ways. With that said most people aren’t coming to Florence wanting a nice gym, but this is important to our family. Overall, we would look to stay here again when we come back to Florence. Thank you!

Positively incredible hotel and experience. Staff was very polite and responsive even for us (who did not take the time to learn even a tiny bit of italian before our visit). Mattress, pillows, and linens were all amazingly comfortable. We slept like babies even with a little bit of urban noise at night (though there not much). Location was terrific for walking to all the normal attractions, even attending an opera. Morning in-room breakfast service was a highlight for us. Simple food but really sets this hotel apart. Would definitely recommend to anyone. My wife has already said when we come back to Florence we won't stay anywhere else!

This is the best hotel we stayed during our Italy trip. The family room is perfect. Hotel staff is very welcoming. I love the fresh flowers and the decor of the hotel. Location is close to everything.

My room was assigned junior suite, but that room has 3 different steep stairs between room and restroom. We asked to change the room and they did. I would recommend when you check in if you don't want any room has stairs.

Beautiful property, spacious rooms. We had two room adjoining for the kids and it was perfect. Very nice breakfast offered each day. The location was fantastic right on Pizza di Santa Maria Novella. Easy walking everywhere. Also a roof top area with seating to enjoy the sunset with a bottle of wine.

We stayed in the family suite for one night and it was a little weird when we had to walk down the street (with the luggage person helping us) to access the condo in a separate building. However, we we pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of this accommodation. This was perfect for our family of five. Plus, we had two sets of full height glass doors in the main bedroom that opened to a balcony overlooking the huge square. This was lovely. We ate dinner about 100 steps from our condo and it was great. Breakfast at the hotel was also very nice. We wish we would have stayed at this hotel for a few more nights. I’m adding a photo from our balcony. This was so cool.

Beautiful room. We had a family room which was 2 rooms adjacent to each other with a sitting room in between. The rooms are elegant, beautiful and luxuriously decorated - Florence style. The staff were super friendly and helpful and went out of their ways to help us. We need to check out early in the morning (before their breakfast time). The staff offered to give each one of us a box of breakfast to go.

The location of the Santa Maria Novella Hotel is ideal as it is walking distance from the train station and many other key sites in Florence. The front desk staff were friendly and always ready to assist us with any questions/concerns. The breakfast room is beautiful and the food choices were wonderful. The staff at breakfast were professional and helpful. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite which was a beautiful room overlooking the SMN piazza. We would highly recommend staying at the Santa Maria Novella Hotel.

I checked all the boxes because it's true. We are an American family of four (2 older boys) had 2 x rooms for 5 days. This hotel is: 1 Walking distance to train station (10 mins max)/roll your bags no sweat 2. QUIET, SAFE, ELEGANT 3. Very good condition overall 4. Bathrobes, slippers even mats next to the bed for the slippers and a chocolate on your pillow - ELEGANT 5. Great, full breakfast incl eggs, bacon if you're into that 6. Very helpful staff. 7.. CONVENIENT - seriouslt, FLorence is not a big city but you can walk to everything I could go on. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. WONDERFUL property. NOT a sleek Hyatt or Hilton. Older hotel in excellent condition with tons of charm, clean and comfy!
