Best Western Palace Inn Hotel

Me and my family were traveling Italy, by car, and we needed a hotel to stay overnight in Ferrera. We had to book it last minute and have been driving all day. We arrived at 1:30am approximately. The hotel staff at the time was one elderly gentleman, did not speak much English to no fault of his own. The room however, was absolutely disgusting. First, when we entered the room we were greeted with a terrible smell. We had to open windows and let the room air out for a good 30 minutes before we could even stay in it. While this I tried to ask hotel staff if there were any other rooms available and was told there were none. So let me break it down to what made this the worst hotel experience we've ever had. First there was the smell, then we discovered our blankets had SEVERAL stains all over it and the towels as well had stains. It was supposed to be a room for a family of 4 but it was ONE bed with ONE pillow and a FOLD OUT COUCH with ONE PILLOW. The mattress on the foldout couch was only a bit thicker than the metal frame supporting it. Needless to say it felt like sleeping on a rock, and woke up with sore backs and necks. And with how small the room was it got extremely stuffy in there quick. Now, for a FOUR STAR hotel and the rate that we paid, we did not get 4 star treatment. Best Western showed very little respect to their guests, and they'll be lucky if they ever get my business again. I have pictures of the room as well, and plan on spreading the word about this.

Stayed in a 4-person room. We were on a regular bed and kids shared a thin fold-out sofa. Bedding was flimsy. Pillows looked like disposable ones, very flat. Easy place to stay. Felt like a US hotel with easy parking, breakfast included, etc. Location required a drive into Ferrara. There's some sort of refinery nearby and roads looked too busy for walking/cycling. But drive is quick and parking was easy in Ferrara.
