5 out of 5 stars

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. We had a family room which was a great size and perfect for 3 of us. The view across Sorrento was fantastic, the customer service was outstanding - nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was really good. A true 5 star experience! Would highly recommend.

We have stayed 4 times in the hotel so we do like it overall, however i‘m not sure the hotel will be able to compete with nearby alternatives in the future. The good -nice design hotel -nice views over the ocean -food average to good -nice pool -nice private beach The bad Strange maneurisms: -we asked to switch to a room with a balcony with a roof because travelling with a baby, which apparently was super complicated and in the end wasnt possible. However, our friend checked in 1 day later and stayed with us until the same checkout date in exactly such a room. So it would actually have been very easy. -the pool, the beach, the beach restaurant or the beach bar were sometimes randomly closed half of the day or multiple ours prior to official time without explanations. Granted it was off season, bit thats not acceptable for a five star hotel. -Not very well cleaned: sharp shrapnels and garbage at the beach, etc. Again, not that bad, but not acceptable for this price range -Friendliness: some employees are super friendly, others not so much. Especially the security guards and beach boys left us feeling not welcome multiple times. Again, normal for italy - but not acceptable in this price range Conclusion: While the design, the views and private beach are great, strange maneurisms like facilities (beach, restaurants) randomly closing, sometimes unfriendly employees and substandard cleanliness limit the potential of the hotel.

We visited this "5 star hotel," in Sorrento in August of 2023. We had booked it though our American Express Platinum Hotel Collections feature, and were sorely disappointed more than once. Here is a breakdown of the pro's and con's for anyone looking to book this hotel in the near future. Pros: The grounds (reception and dining areas, outside seating area, pool, private beach, and views were all very nice). The female staff members are all very kind, friendly, and respectful. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and appetizing. And that's it! Cons: You will receive a very unwarm welcome upon check in. We booked a triple room that sleeps three, and we're charged $120.00 Euros per night for having our four year old child with us using our existing bedding! No other hotel we've ever booked has done such a thing, unless you order additional bedding--let alone a "5 star hotel." You will also be informed that your $100 credit through the American Express Platinum Hotel Collection will not be honored at the dollar rate but at the Euro rate of $90.00. When we tried connecting to their Wi-Fi to check work and personal emails, we realized that their Wi-Fi is unreliable and disconnects every couple of minutes. Upon taking the elevator from the ground floor up to the floors with rooms, we were immediately transported to a two star motel. From the cracked molding on the wall, to the extremely worn and stained blue commercial carpeting in the hallways-the flaws were evide
