Amazing place for a family break in a very high quality hotel. Lots for kids, lovely pool area (perfectly warm), fab grounds, and plenty to do in and around the hotel. Nice coffee spots / restaurants etc

The hotel is modern with a good play room for kids. The pool and sauna/steam rooms are nice but were not available for older kids in the evening. The restaurant staff were great to deal with but I found the reception staff less accommodating (they offer nothing for my daughters 10th birthday which we were celebrating).

Great service and greact facilities such as the swimming pool (which keeps a lane free for doing lengths so no children in the way!), sauna, steam room and plunge pool, but also a pleasant walk around the edge of the golf course.

We booked the executive suite, which has great space for the family, 2+2kids.
Living room space great to spread out the toys and watch tv in the evenings.
Bedroom has fantastic space, room for rollout bed and cot. Overall a very bright spacious and fresh suite.
Pool area great, water warm which was great for our 6mth old for his first splashes. Ladies changing area spacious, my husband felt the mens was tight and he came back to room to shower and change afterwards. ( we were staying there over school holidays peak time over August bank holiday week).
I did suggest to the leisure center attendants to put a plastic babychair into the changing rooms to allow parent to dress without having to worry about baby on bench or floor.
Outside play area - great space and lots for the kids to try out. plenty to cover the different ages. Open Dawn to Dusk it was great to help burn off the energies of the day.
Didn't need or checkout the indoor playroom.
Baby facilities - a room with all you need for washing baby bottles/containers, sterilizing and bottle warming available. Made it so easy to get bits ready for the next day.
Breakfast - wide selection - including pancakes and omlettes made to order.
We will be going back in a year or two again.

mattresses were in a very poor dirty condition on both sides. There were hairs in the sink and bath, where the room had not been prepared properly on arrival. A varied buffet style breakfast was provided every day till 11am that was good. Bikes were available to hire free of charge to ride around the car park. Waited 55 minutes on the first night for room service when the restaurant was fully booked that was extremely expensive and not that good! We carried our own suitcases to and from our rooms. The billiards table was charged for that cost one euro per game that was available on occasions mostly in the evening. There was free use of the internet in the business centre and free Wi fi as well. The Druids Glen resort is in an idyllic spot in the middle of the countryside that is not possible to get to without a car. There were exercise machines and a gym. The leisurely buffet style breakfast with complimentary Irish papers was a good start to the day.. We did feel comfortable in the hotel. Twelve years old would have been a better classification of kids like in other hotels! Hopefully at other times of the year the hotel would be less busy and the bar and restaurants would be staffed more appropriately to avoid long waits in the bar and waiting for a table at dinner time in the restaurant.

This is a brilliant hotel for a family spa weekend, as it has all the facilities you'd want and is really child friendly. We stayed with our 16 month old and he loved the pool and children's play room. We enjoyed a lovely walk around the grounds as well as making use of the gym, sauna/steam and plunge pool. If we'd had more time we'd certainly have ventured further to explore the Wicklow countryside. Two members of our group had spa treatments which they were very happy with. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and we loved the little touches like children toiletries and activity pack. The breakfast selection was really good and we also had a delicious lunch and dinner at the hotel as well. The staff at Druids Glen are extremely friendly and helpful and were all so kind towards our toddler, making our experience thoroughly enjoyable.
