Beautiful place in a wonderful area. Staff was not always the friendliest or most informative. Pool was not really a pool for the hotel and ridiculous amount of rules. Not a place to stay with kids.

Stayed with family friends - 2 adults 3 kids. Hotel staff fantastic, breakfast was spot on. Great location. Kids loved the pool. Will definitely be back

Very nice property within easy walk to all that Kilkenny has to offer. Self park across the street was easy to find. The common areas of the hotel were very nice. The room was clean and generally in good condition. The beds were comfortable. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to friends and family looking for a place to stay in Kilkenny.

Big hotel, ok rooms, short walk from the castle. GYM and pool ok, kids enjoyed it. The rooms are a bit cold and the heating controlled by the hotel. The breakfast is very basic, limited choices, not tasty nor fresh. No vegetables. If I’d know I wouldn’t pay the extra for it …

Was visiting family and stayed here for a week. Enjoyed the time spent in the hotel mainly for its high standards of service and quality of its food. Should also mention the staff were pleasant and very helpful if asked.

First time in Irish hotel. Staff very friendly and happy to help. Car park across street and tickets validated by hotel.12euros for our stay going in and out as many times as needed. Hoben restaurant and bar really nice. Big lobby with comfy seats so could sit with drinks with kids no problem. Kilkenny a lovely wee city for a short stay and the hotel well situated for easy access without being noisy later at night. Hotel perhaps needing a bit of refresh but our whole extended family enjoyed the stay.

Excellent location. Nice large and clean room. Great swimming pool. Welcome on arrival could do with some work. Informed that we to early to check in but no suggestions on where to go with a four year old child for an hour until 16.00. When I asked, was told "I could sit over there for an hour". No further information given. Was quickly moved on by other staff as the area was been used for staff photographs. When it came to check in time, the hotel did not provide extra reception staff to deal with all the guests that had been told the same as ourselves. As it was late afternoon, we decided to eat at the hotel, a decision we soon regretted. When food arrives very quickly ,it is safe to presume that it is not freshly cooked and on this occasion, it certainly was not. A real shame. On reflection, not worth the €270 nightly fee.
